My husband and I will be performing at the local libraries and need a place to hang our hats for a while and stay overnight.. We will be coming in on Friday night and staying till Sat afternoon. And although we have never been there..I feel compelled to write a review. Catherine, (who shares my name) was so polite and... More

I booked a two night stay to celebrate my husbands birthday. Our check in date turned out to be a cold and snowy day. Katherine ( the owner ) called and emailed me to offer me the option of cancelling without any penalties because of the weather, which was very nice. We came in anyway, and we were glad we... More

Stayed here for our first wedding anniversary. I wanted a place with comfortable beds near wildlife refuges and easy driving distance to beach. The bed was very comfortable, and tastefully chosen antique furniture was a bonus. Another big bonus was all the information from the owner for local touring. She offered this info from the very first reservation email and... More

We came here on a whim because there was a great deal on Living Social. We have never stayed at a B & B before but we were well pleased. The owners were very accommodating of our food allergies. They gave us great tips of places to go and things to see in the area. We'll definitely come back when... More

We were in the area for a memorial service and saw this B & B so I made reservations. What a great choice. Lovely place, friendly hosts, very nice room and a wonderful breakfast. For an otherwise unhappy trip, this was a total bright spot.

Top notch victorian b&b with very clean, large rooms and nicely tiled, clean bathrooms. Highly recommend for a quiet stay.

I can recommend this inn to those traveling to this lovely southern shoreline of Jersey. The rooms and beds are comfortable and while it is on a main street, the rooms in the back are not much bothered by the traffic. Our hosts, Catherine & Lorenzo are terrific people were helpful even beyond my wildest imaginings. The breakfast of ricotta... More

We stayed at the J.D. Thompson Inn Bed and Breakfast on April 30 for the convenience and proximity to the Bass River State Forest (the Bassman triathlon was taking place at the park the next day). We truly enjoyed our brief stay at this charming B&B and wanted to share our impressions. Catherine and Lorenzo were terrific guests, they went... More

I don't usually like to stay in B&Bs. I often find the hosts or forced socializing with guests intrusive. With kids, there are no amenities, like pools, and often lots of twee bric a brac for them to break. Yet, the J.D. Thompson Inn is the true exception. The hosts, Catherine and Lorenzo, were incredibly helpful and informative without being... More
