Husband had stayed here once before on business and said it was OK, so we booked to attend an event nearby. Desk staff was efficient and helpful. Room on top floor facing east so definitely road noise day and night. Turned on the fan to block it some, but still couldn't erase the truck traffic, the in room refrigerator clicking... more
We had a very clean room on the first floor. The back of our room faced Rt.46, but it was not noisy at all. The beds were only fair, but we got a decent night sleep. There is an outdoor pool on the 4th floor. Kind of small, but great for gathering with friends and having a good time. There... more
Great price for this close to the city. Used our entertainment card and it was $75/night. Pillows and bed were quite comfortable, I normally have trouble sleeping in hotels the first night, but fell asleep quickly here. Only issue was the walls were paper thin. My family and I were woken up around 1 am because our neighbors were having... more
Visited Totowa for business and was booked in to the Holiday Inn. Though it is merely a 2 star hotel, I managed to get myself in to a rather clean room, with a large firm king-size bed. Agree with some of the other reviews that the hotel overall is rather old and run-down. Most of the staffs were rather too... more
I stayed here for a local wedding. The bride's family selected this old-style, but clean and friendly-staffed motel for about 60 guests for a wedding at The Regency. I'd be prepared to give this hotel an above average rating except for the mattress. The mattress was painfully rock hard, and I usually prefer a super-firm mattress. We all complained about... more
I had to stay at the Holiday Inn in Totowa for business reasons. This hotel is very noisy and in general shabby. For instance, one morning, there was a thundersorm, not a huge one but it was raining hard. When I went out of my bedroom I heard the sound of rain..inside! I was on the last floor and the... more
We were really scared to try it after reading some not too great reviews because I am really picky about cleanliness, but it was clean, nice, comfortable and the staff was very helpful. It wasn't cheaply made either, it had real marble counters in the bathroom too. Ok, so it wasnt like MoMA style or a five star resort, but... more
We were attending a wedding and reception in the area. Stayed at the HI for 4 nights. Had some probs with rooms, they didn't give us what we had requested. This was corrected by the 3rd night. The staff was great and very accomodating. Rooms were ok, not great. For us the location was good for rehearsal dinner, wedding location,... more
Let's be honest; there is no way that this is a 3 star hotel. The room I received had furniture from the 1940's, unbelievabley hard mattress, pungent odor of chlorine, view of wall 3 feet from window, dingy worn rug, outdated curtains, and hallway with kids carrying cases of beer. Needless to say, I checked in and immediately checked out... more
