We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. before going, we double checked reviews and ratings to ensure we would have a good experince, but to out disappointment, we were very unhappy with the hotel. Most of the staff was not very attentive or friendly, the room was seriously outdated including old fixtures, old wallpaper, and old furniture. There was... more

I visited Summit, NJ for the first time and the Grand Summit Hotel was an excellent venue for the business conference. The interiors were well-kept and the US winters can be very severe, hence comfort at a good price was important to me. more

My inlaws are in Summit and they get us a room at the only hotel in town. We have two small children and we always get a small room when we stay there for some reason. Also since we have small children we have a lot of front desk calls and sometimes they get us what we ask for and... more

A lovely old hotel with a lot of charm. Inviting lobby (I actually sat down in front of a roaring fire, and ate roasted chestnuts) and the room was very nice with poster bed. Not the place to stay if you want a large bathroom. Hunt Club Grill for lunch had very good bread and good french onion soup but... more

We just had our daughter's wedding at the Grand Summit Hotel on October 19, 2008. From start to finish, this was a perfect wedding. Everything went very smoothly. Teresa was amazing and made this a top-notch affair. The setting, the ceremony, the cocktail hour, and the reception were all great. Everyone raved about the food. Our vendors had nothing but... more

We stayed at the Grand Summit for three nights this past weekend as we were attending a wedding in the hotel. Upon arrival, the check-in staff did not even look up, let alone greet us. Two gift bags had been left at the front desk for us, but they were not given to us until we were informed of them... more

My husband and I returned to The Grand Summit Hotel to celebrate our 50th Anniversary with our children and grandchildren Oct. 9-13, 2008. We had our wedding reception at the hotel in 1958 and decided to celebrate our 50th in the same location as our wedding. When we made our reservations several months earlier, Mr. Ernst Gaston assured us he... more

Attended a recent wedding in September & like normal people left our gift which consisted of a sealed wedding card & check for the bride & groom on a table set up by the hotel. Someone at the wedding stole the cards from the gift basket, This not only happened once but again the next night at a different wedding.... more

A relatives wedding was the big event in Summit. The reception was at the Grand Summit Hotel and we were planning a great weekend there for almost a year. The happy couple had reserved a block of rooms for their guests at a special rate. When I called in for the reservation I was quoted a rate of $160.00 for... more
