Location sold us on trying this place- outdated rooms, staff a bit rude. Breakfast included but no real options for those on dietary restrictions (gluten free/ vegan/vegetarian) also main menu very limited so did not dine here. They were busy at dinner time though so perhaps the seafood was popular. Beach passes included with beach chairs which were old and... More

We stayed at Grand Victorian on June 25-27, 2014 and had a wonderful experience. The location is perfectly situated across from the beach. The staff is outstanding, friendly and always accommodating to your every need. Breakfast at Black Trumpet was very good though we did not go for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is always busy which is an indicator... More

We stayed here this past weekend while visiting for a wedding next door at The Breakers, since the location was so close we figured it would be a perfect choice. It's a very old B&B with a lot of character. The staff was very friendly and polite and we had a very quick smooth check in. I do have to... More

The hotel staff was friendly, but the rooms are olddddd. The room we stayed in had a private bath, but the shower really didn't work that well. Beach passes and chairs are a nice touch. The Black Orchid restaurant is not part of the hotel, but diners can get a discount if they're staying at the hotel.

The B&B was not anything like the photos. The room was very small and not well-appointed. An example; rusted cover plates on the switches, an open fuse panel WITHOUT a door, particle board shelf in bathroom. The entire hotel needs a complete make-over. IT is not worth $200 a night. For instance; 1, if you would like to sit on... More

Was disappointed in the service of staff and with how unclean the property was. Looked a lot nicer online but ended up being a bust. People in the restraunt were rude and the only pro was the location of the beach. I would go next door to the breakers if you wanted to stay in spring lake.

The Queen Vuictorian Inn needs a facelift and we did notice a new roof going on when e stayed. It seems to be partly renovated and our room was small and clean, but the lamp looked like it came form a very cheap discount store and the furnishings were old. The bathroom was completely redone but they installed a plastic(?) tub... More

This is a very romantic place; cozy bed and breakfast. It is also a great place to dine on the ocean in Spring Lake. Service has been great every time we stay there and the value is high. Many of the rooms face the ocean, which is across the street. Note: all beach front hotels in the area have a... More

If you are used to staying at nice lodging places then this is NOT your place. Although we had a cockroach in our room, the carpet & bedding was clean. Our sink was about to rip off the wall. The service in this place is very poor & unprofessional. Do your homework before staying here.

The staff at Grand Victorian are a reason for staying there. They go out of their way in this charming, comfortable mansion to accommodate guests' needs. I wish there were blackout blinds in the ocean view rooms: the sun waking you up at 7 AM is not a good thing. But the people working the desk are friendly and helpful.... More
