Nice hotel and courteous staff. Cozy king room wasn't too small. Shuffling of car was often necessary because of law that cars must face beach at night. Those spots are not quite as easy to find as suggested by front desk. Wifi in room was spotty. Breakfast and lunch at the hotel restaurant are a great value (pancakes for $5).... More

We stayed there with our kids in the last week of June 2014. I found this hotel in march when I was looking for a nice hotel to stay at on the beach in New Jersey. We booked a Monday thru Friday stay because the type of room we wanted was not available on the weekend because they had weddings... More

Location is wonderful, staff was friendly, rooms dated, restaurant over rated.... Walk across the street and you are on the beach! The room we had was small, bathroom small, shower, tub and fixtures dated, bed was comfortable, air conditioner was very loud, but the benefit of the loud air conditioner was it drowned out the music at the wedding reception... I would give the kids (they looked very young) behind the desk at the front a bit of training in customer service (there are nuances that can be improved before "demanding" the credit card- like, "Hello, and welcome"). While I was waiting for the bellhop to bring up my bags, Cosmo Sr. (and the only reason I know his name... More

My wife and I checked in to the Breakers Hotel on Thursday this July 4th weekend and spent the next four days finding out what an elegant place the New Jersy shore once was and now is again thanks to The Breakers. Our room overlooking the ocean and the newly rebuilt boardwalk was simple and elegantly furnished. All of the... More

Location, location, location. Check. Pleasant staff. Check. Decent food (if overpriced and bland) check. One or two surly bus boys who, no doubt, will not last long at their summer jobs? Check. Drab room with window screens that fell inwards and windows that couldn't be opened outwards b/c of bits of the opposite roof and loud a/cs? Check. Ancient tv... More

We enjoyed our stay once again. Kevin & Heather at the front desk are eager to help-Great Service. Phil is a great mixologist-ready you prepare your favorite cocktail-just the way you want it! And Andrew around the pool is wonderful too! Hey Andrew we loved those Charles Chips! The food menu for lunch as been revised and this season Cosmo... More

I highly recommend this old but tastefully renovated hotel with its perfect location, friendly, helpful staff,e cellent restaurant and spotlessly clean(and affordable!) rooms. We will most definitely return to enjoy the miles of golden sands, brand new, immaculate boardwalk and the lovely wraparound porch/veranda where one could while away the hours, book,or drink in hand if you are too tired, lazy or old to... I loved this hotel. Right on the Atlantic, everyone was so kind and helpful. Our room was immaculate. The porch makes the hotel very sweet. We sat out there and just looked at the beautiful ocean. The wedding was wonderful and the food was the best.

We stayed in a fabulous room which was 100 percent immaculate and renovated. The over sized jacuzzi tub was a glorious way to end the day at the beach. The hotel Lounge had an incredible jazz pianist on weds. evening named Charlie Clarke. We only stayed a few night but it was a most relaxing and romantic get away! Oh... More
