This place has to have the worst food I've ever had. Tiny portions, cold, nasty tasting. And, they get annoyed when you ask them to take something back that you didn't order! Must have been left out all day and then served to us. Rooms are showing their age. Front desk staff should work for the military. more

i have been staying at the somerset marriot for years about twice a year. Never had an issue. It is no marriot now. The front desk was rude, the security was terrible, when I arrived in my room there was urine in the toilet..eww... The ice machine was broken and there was broken glass in the carpet due to a... more

My husband's 40th class reunion was Saturday, July 14th. The hotel itself is very nice and the price for the room was reasonable, however we were extremely disappointed in the actual reunion. There were very few hours dourves. Didn't start serving until 8 pm. There were very few entrees and the desserts were put out at the same time as... more

We stayed at the Somerset Marriott on our way back from Philadelphia the night before Easter, since we were visiting family in NJ for Easter. The hotel had a great rate and is in a location that is very easy to get to, right off Rt. 287. The hotel is very nice, staff very friendly. The pool is beautiful, indoor/outdoor... more

I travel 100% of the time so I was looking for something closest to my home. The doubletree is a better deal currently but this one is the 2nd best option. They do have a concierge lounge and 6 concierge levels (6-11). I LOVE the lady that does the breakfasts on floor 10!!! She would brighten anyone's day! They have... more

This hotel is great and conveniently located at Fwy 287 x10 heading to New York City. The parking is free, the staff very nice and room very comfortable, and I got $33 at priceline (--), a terrific deal. The only catch is that Internet access is $4.95 rather than free that most hotels provide these days. Pool has indoor and... more

Room was clean, comfortable and a nice size. Rate was very reasonable compared to other hotels in area and staff was really friendly. Many of the hotels in the area are either in need of renovations or are not full service, so this was really the best choice for us. I will definately stay again next time I'm in the... more

We stayed at this Marriott for 4 nights. It is very clean and comfortable. The beds are very new and relaxing. The breakfast buffet was especially delicious. It is close to the Garden State Expo Center and Rutgers University. The special AAA rate was a bargain. We would definitely stay here again. more

Got this hotel via name your own price website so got a really good deal. Stayed for 5 nights. I had phoned and requested a non-smoking room, but when we checked in, we were put into a smoking room. Because of the time of night when we checked in, we stayed in that room for the night, but the next... more

The hotel and surrounding area are not impressive, aging business area, but the hotel was very nice. The lobby, pool and rooms are kept up very nicely. The hallways are cramped. The facility has two major structures, a three story complex around the pool courtyard and a tower building which I didn't go in. We got a very cheap price... more
