I needed a hotel near Kirkintilloch for a one night stay as part of a travelling holiday. The environment around the hotel is magnificent - a woodland setting with a tree lined avenue. The building itself is very interesting, being, I assume, a grand family home at some time in the past. It has been somewhat modernised, now having a... More

When I went I found there was ample parking - I like to park nowhere near anyone else if I can help it, and I managed it here by parking at the side of the hotel. Most people seem to park at the front (especially the conference guests in the day). I had room 1 which was huge. Beware the... More

First time I’ve visited the Kincaid in about ten years. We went for a coffee and a drink in the beer garden which is the best of the very few in the area. Decided to stay for an early dinner in the conservatory and was very impressed with the quality of the food. The menu was mainly the standard fare... More

We were visiting my Mother in Law so took her here for lunch last Friday as this was a hotel she used to go to on a regular basis and had fond memories of. Overwhelming smell of damp as we entered the reception, no staff to be found anywhere so made our way towards a dining area - we had... More

We had a lovely time recently at a good friends wedding the conservatory was decorated beautiful and the service was brilliant. The meal was lovely and again the room was decorated beautifully. The rooms are really big never realised the size of them overall a superb day only drawback was the bar it's quite small so a bit of a... More

We stayed a night here after visiting Loch Lomond on our way to Edinburgh. I read a few reviews that said the decor was a bit old and shabby and yes the rooms could do with a lick of paint but it's got bags of character and history which more than make up for it. The bathroom could do with... More

Booked into this hotel for 2 nights, lovely quite area and gorgeous comfortable room. Dinner reasonable but breakfast disappointed due to being tasteless. Staff were very helpful and pleasant, although TV in room far to small for size of room and Bathroom mirror not working reported but still not fixed by the time I left. Would definitely stay again, reasonably... More
