We've eaten in the Stable Bar many times over the years and have invited friends and relatives from around the world because the food has been good most of the time. But certainly not on new year's eve 2014. At first glance our chicken dishes looked plentiful but in fact the chicken breasts were very small indeed and the plates... More

The Kincaid is very much a traditional country house hotel, and although I normally only use it for dining or as a pub personally, I've used their accommodation for overseas visitors on business trips and never had any complaints. I've also held family functions there and it's been great and excellent value for smaller scale casual events. As a pub... More

There was a time, about 10 to 12 years ago, when I frequently visited the Stables Bar at Kincaid House. I'm not sure how it dropped off my list of places to go - perhaps it was when the kids came along. Anyway, we ended up here today for lunch (my wife, me and our 2.y.o. and 6y.o.). The place... More

My mum booked the drawing room to host a ladies lunch to celebrate her 80th birthday party on 3rd October 2014. We visited the hotel a couple of times to run through their options and decide what we wanted regarding menus and room layout. Approximately a week before the event I was made aware that we couldn't have the round... More

What a beautiful place to have a wedding. My son recently had his wedding here and it was a fantastic day. Morag and her staff were brilliant. Morag had everything running so smoothly I am amazed as to how she managed everything so perfectly. The food was fantastic, and the service was spot on.

This listed building has a serene setting and a fantastic orangery. The food is fantastic. Evening meals and breakfasts are exceptional. We enjoyed living like the local lord. To be recommended. The surrounding area is very picturesque.

Had a lovely meal here on Saturday night. The food and service was excellent. The place itself is a bit tired and could do with a refurb however.. We were only there to celebrate my brother in laws birthday and did not stay over so can't comment on the accomodation side.;

We had our civil partnership here on Friday 26th September. We saw how hard the housekeeping team worked to make our day perfect that morning as we had stayed the night before. Despite working their fingers to the bone they were very friendly and chatted with us. Morag and the rest of the team made sure we wanted for nothing,... More

After deciding to late to stay in Glasgow we looked further out for a B&B and are very glad to have found this hotel, lovely setting, lovely food and staff that are really friendly and nothing is to much trouble for them. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a slightly quieter setting to use a base, the... More

Booked via laterooms as a spontaneous trip. We arrived late in the day, around 7:30 pm having motorbiked it up from Manchester via the lakes. I was genuinely surprised, the building is lovely inside. It was clean and well maintained and the rooms a good size and well furnished. The restaurant and bar offered a more casual dining experience and... More
