I arrived very frazzled on the Thursday prior to my son's wedding...an incident with my credit card number being stolen and all the rooms were reserved with that card...the day of preparation and travel had been frenetic. The people who greeted me at 9:30PM saved the day. Throughout the entire weekend I felt the staff and management at The Molly... more

THe hotel is an older hotel so you can't expect everything to be spotless, I understand that but I would never come back. We stayed here to enjoy a weekend getaway and we had previously had brunch at the hotel and the food was nice and the lobby areas looked like this would be a nice hotel. Well, unfortunately, the... more

My wife and I have stayed at the Molly several times when I have been in the Monmouth County area for business, since she grew up in the area over in Middletown. This stay convinced us that we will not be back. The public areas are great and the overall ambiance of this historic hotel is wonderful. The dining room... more

We stayed at this hotel for our friends' wedding. The staff was nice. The room was a little cramped but, otherwise, seemed clean and okay for one night's stay for the wedding. The wedding food and service seemed great, and the river/bay view from the hotel back deck was not bad. Overall, I would rate this hotel as a fine... more

Grandly styled reception and bar/restaurant let down by staff who are not very friendly and by the rooms which are of the standard of typical low end hotel rooms (complete with noisy wall mounted aircon unit) and old style bedding (no Duvet) BUT at higher end hotel prices. This hotel is more aimed at those who dine and drink here... more

We were in one of the "Navesink" rooms, which had a balcony and overlooked the pool. The room was spacious and clean. Opposite the closet near the bath room was an extra counter with drawers and cabinets under a large mirror--perfect for doing hair/makeup etc without monopolizing the BR or using the desk area in the room itself. The hotel... more

We stayed at the Molly Pitcher Inn to attend a wedding at the shore. The hotel is very nice and the pool area and views are lovely. The rooms are a bit on the small side as is custom with an older hotel. It is very close to down town and would make a nice quick getaway for people in... more

Where do I start? I stayed at the Molly Pitcher last week and had one of the best experiences ever. I was hesitant and did not know what to expect after reading many mixed reviews, but I can tell you that the property is much better than past reviews indicate. The service was great - the bellman/doorman was very helpful... more

Visited the Inn during an off-season period earlier in 2008. Found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, allowing us to see several rooms before we chose which we preferred. Our room in the main inn was small but very clean. We took advantage of the “fixed price” dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed the food and the service. Good... more
