As a resident, I can confirm that New Jersey is not a mecca for quality, interesting hotels. Options near the shore are even more limited. So in that context, the Blue Bay Inn really stands out. Pros - Nicely decorated rooms; personal service; good value; proximity to great restaurants (including the attached Copper Canyon). Cons - Small rooms; non-adjacent parking;... more

This has to be one of the worst hotel experiences I have EVER had. Yes, the parking is two blocks over, which is understandable in NYC, but not in a small town. The rooms were nicely decorated, but our room was at the front of the hotel facing the street. We got very little sleep both nights there due to... more

This past weekend I stayed with my sister at the Blue Bay Inn. Staff was very responsive, recommended great local restaurants (secured reservations and directions), and provided complimentary continental breakfast. Clean, modern inn with new bathrooms - and not a generic chain. more

I stayed in the suite for 2 nights for a special occasion, and given the review before mine, I'd say it was worth it to get the bigger room. I did see some of the others, and they were a bit tight (I think it was a queen room I saw) for the room it was in. It is a... more

001- Personal negative experience 002- Parking is frustrating 003- The parts i enjoyed. 001: I was staying at this hotel for a wedding, normally i would've commuted, but it was important to the bride for people to stay here. the decor is nice enough, however they have HUGE room inequality for the Queen rooms. Having the advantage of being able... more

We stayed at the Inn for 2 nights (7/27 & 7/28). The hotel is small, only 27 rooms, and has a style that is smart & elegant. Our room was a "parlour king" with very nice bedding and a large, well-lit & immaculate bathroom. We had only one complaint about the room--noise, some from the lounge downstairs, but mainly from... more

Rooms are tastefully decorated, have excellent beds and great showers, BUT...... balconies are tiny, "water views" are nonexistent unless you lean way out and crane your neck, parking is incredibly difficult on Friday and Saturday nights (hotel does NOT have its own lot), and (minor issue) water for tea at breakfast was lukewarm both mornings. For $200 plus a night... more

I called to reserve two nights for my husband and me while we were in town for our granddaughter's graduation. The woman that answered our call did not seem to know what she was doing so I asked for a manager. She refused to transfer me to a manager, acting very defensive. Eventually a man came on the phone and... more

My girlfriends and I stayed at the Blue Bay Inn this weekend for a little getaway. What a lovely place! We had a room with two doubles, which were very comfy, as well as ample space for all of us to not feel the slightest bit cramped. The Inn has a very modern, spacious, clean feel. Maria, at the front... more
