It is located in a very nice and quiet area with a lot of open space. The rooms are very dated with carpet that looks dirty. When I first walked in, it smelled damp! The bed was ok but pillows were uncomfortable. The first couple of days of my stay were quiet but the next two days, I had someone... More

My boyfriend and I escaped NYC and stayed one night at the Chauncey for an impromptu weekend in Princeton. He found this property on the Chamber of Commerce website for Princeton (I know, kind of unusual - but that's how he is) - overall we had a great time in the city and found the hotel to be a great... Stayed here last weekend for a weekend of a good friend and have stayed here many times previously for work (via Hotwire). Staff are very friendly and rooms are pretty nice. A few minor annoyances: pillows were very big and not very soft (ie very firm). I realize some people like this and I should've called to ask for new... More

this hotel is quite unique. i think that i'm biased because i prefer modern, chain locations. to be fair, it is clean, mostly, seems safe (unless you wreck your car on the million deer en route), and well... quaint. seems nice for those who like quaint and feels like grandmas house. broken in bed, crisp sheets, probably nice for a... In previous visits to Princeton, we have stayed on or near US 1. This most recent visit (with a Priceline "assignment") put us a little west of Princeton at the Chauncey Hotel and Conference Center. This facility is on the grounds of the headquarters of the Educational Testing Service (ETS), the SAT and GRE folks. And, what a great, and... More

This is a sprawling hotel and conference center, very spread-out with lots of land, in a business park situated in a larger residential area. Room was very nice, no complaints really. As someone else mentioned, there was a slight mildew smell in the corridor outside the room, though I didn't notice it in the room. I booked through Priceline bidding,... More

Stayed on here halfway to NC Outer Banks during Memorial Day WE. Gorgeous surroundings away from highways, very peaceful and did not appear crowded in spite of high occupancy. Rooms clean an nicely furnished. Beautiful grounds and polite staff. Breakfast buffet was good, as expected for this type of hotel.

This hotel and conference center served its purpose for lodging. The main building housing hotel rooms, the pool and fitness center, as well as the small main lobby area, all of which are in need of renovation and has a faint musty smell. The hotel rooms were decent, and the staff is friendly, however the food for the catered graduation... More

Stayed here one night with my family for a follow-up visit with my daughter's surgeon in Lawrenceville. We usually stay at a hotel on U.S. 1, but found the Chauncey to be much easier to access, and closer to our destination, without all the hustle, bustle and traffic of U.S. 1. Admittedly, we didn't stay long enough to fully appreciate... More

I stayed here for four nights last week to attend my college alumnia activities, having b een informed a few years ago about this hotel by a classmate. SInce the choices for staying in downtown Princeton are limited, with most of the hotels being out on U.S. 1, I decided the more rural location within an easy drive of where... More
