What a wonderful job in the remaking of this historical landmark it looks and feels 1000% better then before i hope you open soon , I was there today, it was just breathtaking the old victorian house is a piece of art of the 21 century, with bedrooms and bathrooms that are no longer a shame but a pleasure. more

After a dissappointing stay in Nassau Inn I convinced my whole team to stay in Peacock Inn for our final presentation, unfortunately in Princeton one has a choice of only those 2 if wants to stay in the center. Afterwards everybody agreed that this was fun, we were attending each others rooms like museums :) The consensus was that my... more

After reading some of the other reviews of the Peacock Inn I feel compelled to chime in. We stayed there several months ago, choosing it almost entirely on reputation and reports from friends who stayed there in the past. Our first reaction was that something must have happened between then and our arrival. Something like new ownership or a complete... more

I stayed there one dreadful night in January with my daughter. The steam radiator burst while we were out at dinner and when we returned the alarm was ringing and the beds and all our clothes were wet from the condensation from the steam. My daughter and I were forced to triple up in the 2 other rooms our extended... more

What a disappointment- no towel rails, no bed-side table, no cleaner. The staff were new and very pleasant but they seem swamped in paperwork and how to operate basics like give the client a bill before charging the wrong rate. The Inn would benefit from the owner actually spending a night in each room to evaluate what amenities are lacking... more

What a wonderful morning we spent with Tess and Phil. Lots of snow outside. Warm and cozy inside. We didn't want to leave. Also, we had a great dinner in the restaurant last night. Donna, the Manager, is wonderful. It was a special occasion and she handled all of our unusual requests flawlessly. We'll be back! more

Princeton NJ is a challenging place to stay if you actually would like to be anywhere near the university itself. All of the hotels are located a drive away from the campus. So, a visitor who wants to be near the very attractive downtown & main streets & who doesn't have a car (or who doesn't want to drive) has... more

The Peacock Inn has seen better days. Just a few years ago I stayed here and it was fine. This time, I spent $189/night for two nights, and here's what I got. A small room with a broken window through which freezing air drifted; a bathroom across the hall; a showerhead that dribbled lukewarm water; no towels or soap by... more

Princeton is a very pretty town and but there are few places to stay unless you want a Route 1 mall location not within walking distance of the school and restaurants. One option is a well reviewed B&B, the peacock Inn. The rooms were indifferently put together, broken TV in one, moldy bathroom in the other. The restaurant was closed... more

We recently stayed at the Peacock and were extremely disappointed. The place is worn. The putrid green carpet in the bedroom was hard, our "private" bath was in the hallway and everything seemed extremely dated. The musty room was clearly a reflection of the indifferent staff which served up a mediocre breakfast and seemed to care less if we were... more

Management response from
D. Roberts, Manager

The Peacock Inn is committed to providing the best service possible to all of our guests. Unfortunately, we are unable to please all of the people all of the time. We are not a standard hotel and each of our rooms represents a unique decorating concept reflecting a 250 year old building in an established college town. As all hotels,...
