The guy was very nice, but we had bed bugs in our room. We did everything in the book to not bring them home and they hitched a ride. Now I have to pay to get my place exterminated and cleaned up. This place is filthy and needs desperate care and cleaning. I would not stay. more

We recently attended a beach wedding at the Manchester Inn, and the proprietor and his service staff made us feel very welcome. They did a wonderful job of serving us, starting with the hors d'oeuvres and finishing with the wedding cake. They were warm, attentive, and very friendly. They made us feel quite at home. The dining room looked so... more

The meeting facility was fine. However, the shock came when we went to our room and discovered: it was very small, had no TV, it was dirty (as in the sheets were gross and smelled funny), you would not want to use the dresser drawers, & the carpet didn't look vacuumed for years. The shower curtain was disgusting. There was... more

The ocean breeze on the porch is priceless! Sitting on a rocking chair enjoying the breeze and chatting with other guests is awesome. Clark creates a very easy, laid back, homey feel at his inn. The full breakfast is so good and varied. The 2nd floor room with private bath and balcony (with ocean view) is my favorite room. The... more

My wife and I were shocked to read some of the bad reviews. We had an excellent experience! Manchester is old fashion, beach is a half a block away, and Clark is the man! Clark was there when we needed him, but never a bother. My wife and I are neat freaks, so cleanliness was definitely not an issue. I... more

My family and friensd have stayed at the Manchester several times. We always have a great time. We often try to reserve a room on the second floor balcony. The views of the ocean and the Ocean Pathway are second to none. The cool breezes under the large Sycamore trees make for a great oppurtunity to relax with a cocktail... more

I stayed here with my young family. I have stayed at various bed and breakfasts all around the country, so I am aware that older buildings can be quirky. That's why we stay at them, because of their individuality. However, this Inn really needs some tender loving care. Some of the rooms in the Inn seemed to be updated, but... more

If you're looking for a getaway at the shore with a charming atmosphere then the Manchester Inn is the place to be. Conveniently lcoated just a block form the ocean, the Inn has lovely Victorian style rooms with private baths. Few rooms do not have private baths so make sure you request that if it's your preference. The Inn's front... more

This place is really great. I brought my mother (80+) here for a weekend getaway the last 2 years to sing in a church choir festival and enjoyed a wonderful time each stay. The place is very comfortable, clean, well maintained and it's owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The morning breakfast buffet is delicious, changes daily and... more

I have stayed at the Manchester three times now and couldn't disagree more with the people who wrote negative reviews. The inn was established in the late 1800's, so of course rooms are smaller and quirkier than a mega-hotel or new construction B&B, but that's exactly what makes it special and charming. I have had nothing but positive experiences here,... more
