We stayed in the Canvasback Room in the main house and we found it comfortable, quite, quaint and convenient. Both the room and the common areas were beautifully decorated and welcoming. The Bed and the two Breakfasts each deserve five stars. The new owners, Jason and Marianne were both very good hosts and pleasant company and were very helpful in... More

We have stayed here every summer since 2008. Our experience has always been great, and we were pleased to see that the new owners Maryann and Jason are maintaining the same high standards set by the previous owners Beth and Karl. Hard to believe that such a quiet and beautiful woodland setting exists so close to busy urban areas. Maryann... More

Our third stay here while visiting family in Sparta and lovely as always. The new owners have already made visible improvements in their first month. Plussed up the food and furnishings in the living room.

My husband and I have stayed at the Wooden Duck a couple of times when in town visiting family, mostly due to its convenient and quiet location. The positives: the breakfast is plentiful and satisfying, the location and gardens are lovely, and the owners are very friendly and responsive. The wifi was free and accessible. The not-so-positives: we stayed in... More

Thank you for your review. As new innkeepers we are eager to learn ways we can improve out B&B. We are disappointed you did not enjoy you night in our Carriage House. The Carriage house is the original home on the property and as such, it has some needs to preserve its’ character. We did remediate the mold you saw... More

My husband are back from a weekend at the Wooden Duck to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. This is the second time we have stayed at the Wooden Duck and I left feeling as though I wanted to go every weekend! It is such a calm and beautiful place and much attention has been paid to details. The bed was... More

My girlfriend and I went to the Wooden Duck -- such a fabulous find so close to the city (just an hour from NYC). Beautiful walks in the local wildlife parks close by, but so relaxing to just chill by the pool. You get set up for the day with a mouthwatering gourmet breakfast, but bring a bottle of wine... More

My boyfriend and I had a lovely experience at the Wooden Duck. The property is absolutely beautiful with carefully manicured lawns/gardens, a small pool and a newly renovated main house. The location is great for anyone that wants a relaxing getaway but is still interested in doing some activities here and there-- there is an incredible, sprawling state park a... More

The Wooden Duck Inn is amazing! My boyfriend and I were able to experience 2 different rooms (Mallard and Harlequin) for 7 days and both were absolutely lovely. The whole place is very well kept and the owners are wonderful.  Its location allows a getaway from the busy city life and gives a sense of peace and quiet. The B... More

My wife and and her family members spent the last weekend of July at the Wooden Duck B&B. We had a great experience from the room accommodations to the morning breakfast. Jason & Maryann could not have been better hosts. Looking forward to a return visit. Dan & Helen J

The Wooden Duck is by far very best B & B we have EVER stayed at. The rooms are incredible, as are the new owners Jason & Maryann! They were fabulous hosts. We would never have known that they were new innkeepers. It is worth going there just for the breakfasts! We had to experience one more, so we ended... More
