Stayed here once to use the airport. The hotel was nice, rooms were clean and had everything I needed. The parking fee though is too much. That is my only complaint about the airport. more

I have two major complaints with this hotel. I arrived at the airport at a little after midnight. I checked with the hotel beforehand and they told me the shuttle to the hotel ran every 20 minutes. We're a little lost by the positive reviews. The hotel is a disappointing and dated airport hotel built in the 60's/70's. The interior spaces have no design quality whatsoever and the carpets are filthy and in need of replacement in many of the public areas. As Platinum members we were put on the Club Floor. Stayed here for one night before a cruise, very clean and spacious room. Staff were friendly and efficient. Flew in to Newark, overnighted at the Sheraton, went into NYC and flew out next morning. Observations: Rate. Reasonable -- base rate of $85.00 + taxes, for deluxe room with internet access; thought it was going to be about $160.00. Room. Clean, bedding was comfortable and nice, room sufficiently spacious. I stayed at this hotel when my flight out of Newark was cancelled due to bad weather. The room was very quiet and comfortable and the staff were all extremely professional and friendly. I arrived late at night, completely exhausted and upset and they managed to make my stay here very pleasant and peaceful which was just what I needed. more

Hey, it's a Sheraton...nice rooms and amenities. Excellent for a Sheraton near NYC. Shuttles run every 15 minutes to the airport. Take Airtrain to the NJ Transit terminal. From there, it's 35 minutes to NY Penn Station. Get a very nice hotel for less than the city with great ground trans. Don't try to drive into NYC. Most I waited... more
