We spent 4 nights Best Western PLUS Robert Treat Hotel, Newark, NJ. We were very pleased with the excellent service we received. The deluxe continental breakfast was especially exceptional. My only complaint was that the internet service was intermittent, due to overuse by others.

Stayed for a week in April 2013 and April 2014, check in was quick smooth and polite, the room was clean neat and tidy, yes it's a bit dated but you get what you pay for. Both times we stayed we had a view of the New York skyline (distant but still visible) Loved having a small fridge to use... More

clean quiet hotel bed is about due for replacement. free Wi-Fi was locked out to many people on it. asked about coffee and was told no 24 hr coffee and didn't have any for me to take back to the room. they boast Eisenhower stayed there.. bet it was a different time that they forgot. should be customer service first.

Very comfy bed, clean for a renovated hotel. Just a few blocks from the Prudential concert hall and across the street from NJPAC. Customer service is a different story...I walked back to the hotel after a concert at the PC which the street brings you to the back of the hotel. It was midnight and cold and I my husband... More

The customer service was appalling. The hotel is also an event center for weddings and other functions, including PARTIES. I wish I had known this beforehand. We had a lot of noisy guests blocking the way downstairs and taking up the elevators.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights after flying in to Newark and prior to cruise from Bayonne. Although the Area is pretty rough the hotel was good. The room was small but clean. Staff were friendly. Used the computer room to book 9/11 museum tickets which saved time at the memorial and museum. Only beef we had was... More

Staff was nice, hotel clean, shuttle to Penn Station available, perhaps other locations too. We walked the few blocks to Penn Station for the Path train to NYC. Breakfast was adequate, but crowed at the time we showed up. I think more tables would be helpful. Quiet night, would stay here again.

Promising location, located in the heart of downtown Newark adjacent to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and a city park. Disappointing experience inside. Interiors were tired and worn. Inside the room the carpet was stained, the safe did not work, one lamp was broken and another was burned out.

We searched high and low and ended up here for two nights to visit the 9/11 Memorial. It's a relatively short ride on the PATH rail from Newark's Penn station to the PATH station next to the Memorial. NOTE that the PATH station next to the Memorial will be closed weekends until the end of 2014 for renovation. This means... More
