I stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting friends in Glen Ridge, NJ. The Penn Station access seems very convenient, though I didn't take advantage of it. The attached parking garage was convenient and added $21/day to the room, but I consider that reasonable for parking so close to the city, and that charge confers in & out... More

I got stuck here on a last minute business trip for a week. Nothing to do around here except take the train to NYC. Hotel is grungy and the restaurant sucks. Lobby is confusing and parking is horrible!!! Do not drive here!! take the train.

The location is great because it is in the NJ Penn Station and the staff are nice and very helpful but the restaurant is not that great at all. I have stayed there on multiple occasions over the course of 4 years and they really haven't changed anything. At least they are consistent :) I would recommend the hotel, but... More

Stayed 1 night for business, it was ok. Hotel was clean, but finishings were below normal Hilton standards. Walls are very thin, I heard everything all night. All in all, it was ok hotel. I would stay away from the area like the plague, Newark is not a nice city, but I can't knock the hotel for that. The hotel... More

Just got back from US stayed asat this hotel very clean staff very helpful but a train away from New York Didn't like the beggars outside the station or the area but hotel was booked by travel company. This is one great hotel! I've stayed there now at least 3 times when I'm visiting NYC and will go again. Depending on the day you stay, it's about half the price of a similar hotel in Manhattan. Since I'm train-oriented it's an added plus that the Newark train station is an airbridge away from the hotel ( you don't... More

Our on-going flight was cancelled so we had no option but to book overnight accommodation. It was $169 dollars for a double room. The hotel is done in the art noveau style but the carpet at the entrance was badly stained not really giving a good impression. The room was basic. The shower did not drain away adequately. The bathroom... More

I went to NYC for the first time and was unwilling to pay the huge cost of a hotel. I found a hotel across the water with a PATH station even attached. The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was awesome. We arrived before check in time and they were very accommadating and allowed us to check in early.... More

Chose this hotel for convenience. Arrived late at Newark airport and needed to get to Philadelphia the following morning. This hotel is no-brainer: free pickup from the airport and a room that is about 6 minutes walk to the track for the Amtrak train south. Friendly driver, friendly reception staff. Clean bathroom but no bathrobe. Slightly squelchy carpet underfoot but... More

I accompanied my husband on a business trip to Newark, just to get away for a couple of days. We stayed at the Hilton for two nights, and chose it for a couple of reasons. One is that it is adjacent to the Ironbound Neighborhood, which reminded us of our recent trip to Portugal. I enjoyed browsing in the Spanish... More
