A short walk from this hotel across an enclosed breezeway and you are in Newark Penn Station. From there you can catch PATH or NJTransit directly into Manhattan (18 to 25 minutes). So, if you have a fear of going outside in Newark, you can go directly to your train. However, there are also things to do in Newark. Keep... More

My cab driver told me not to walk the streets alone as it was unsafe. The staff was unhelpful and seemed agitated every time i asked for a request. The rooms and amenities were outdated and the room service we overpriced..10$ for a pot of coffee! This was a nickel and dime hotel..they couldn't even provide free internet. I wouldn't... More

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable. I like how convenient the hotel was to the PATH train and I didn't have to walk outdoors to catch it. The train ride is about 45 minutes from NYC which includes the stops and the waiting time at various stops. I wasn't in a rush to get... More

I don't think the Hilton Newark Penn Station is a good choice for those who come to NYC because I still prefer to stay in the city. However it is right in front of Penn Station where you can take the train and go to New York. In my case I had to come to Newark so the hotel was... More

We booked a family pack plan and our free breakfast had several choices to choose from and it was all good. The hotel is attached to the Path and NJ Trains which is all so convenient when visiting NY or NJ. We enjoyed our stay and the kids enjoyed the internet.

Despite having the problem of the agreed shuttle be a no-show to transport the bride and groom from our event to the hotel, that was partial to our event. The Hotel is clean. modern and pleasant. The personnel try to appease the involved group and were courteous and helpful.

Location of this hotel is great, but beyond that, I was disappointed. I paid for an upgrade to the concierge floor. The room was small and seemed fairly worn. The evening food in the concierge room was good, but the breakfast was average. My room service experience was laughable: the menu in the fancy hardcover book was mostly out of... More

Another great stay at this Hilton property. If you are visiting NYC, this hotel is the one you should stay at. Located right across from Newark Penn Station, so easy to travel to Manhattan. I have stayed here a few times over the last few years and I think it is time to renovate rooms / hallways / lobby. For... More

So I read the reviews and maybe expected too much. The rooms were old, but everything was mostly clean. The desk still had some crumbs from the previous occupants, just think they cleaned a bit too quickly and did not notice. Shuttle service took about 20 minutes for me, 25 minutes for my spouse from the airport who had a... More

My son and daughter stayed their while getting my son settled in his apartment for his first year at Seton Hall Law School. They arrived late and the hotel couldn`t have been nicer as far as parking their small uhaul, etc. They both said they had a very pleasant experience. I was a flight attendant for 31 years for a...
