The worst motel I've ever stayed at. Photo doesn't do it justice at all. Located in a scary part of town. Parking was hard to find: not labeled, way back behind, off different street. No power outlet by desk. Was met by a beggar out front asking for money for a room. Run down, old furnishings, but in good shape.... More

After all the bad reviews online, this hotel is really nice. It's decent and safe. Bus top is right opp the hotel. They have decent rooms and I would go back on my next trip. It is approximately 3 km from the airport.

I booked this hotel as a one night stop while travelling between places. Like others have said, the taxi attendant started chuckling when I told her where I was going. Upon arrival, you could tell that the area we were in was sketchy. The bulletproof glass on the reception desk didn't encourage me either. The woman on the reception was... More

We booked the hotel because we thought that those pictures were real. But when we get there was totally disappointed. Our mistake was that we paid online and it said on their policies (NO REFUND) I understand why. They know any guest who comes in they want to leave. I suggest look for other options We end it up leaving... More

Giving the hotel the benefit of the doubt, I booked the hotel based on the fact that it was only a mile away from the Prudential Center. As soon as I parked I quickly regrets my decision, the front desk attendant was rude and inattentive. Each question was answered with and I don't know. The lobby and elevator smelled and... More

This is not an hotel or a resting place, but an Holocaust camp in the Land of Lady Liberty. The room are roaches infested and very overheated without fan. You cannot call the reception, no room service or telephone. It is just not a good place to be.

Got in the area about 8pm, I booked the room from my cell. I ask for a hotel near my location which was near Newark airport. The nightmare begins.Had to use my coat for a pillow. Night person could not provide items. No phone in the room. Had to ask for more towels in the morning. Parked my car in... More

Upon arriving at the Newark train station we asked the taxi drivers lined up at the rank if they could take us to 'Hotel Riviera', We should have known what we were in for when they all started laughing at us, (a group of English kids in there early 20's) during the journey we noticed that we were definitely out... 1. The location terrifies any respectable tourist. 2. The atmosphere is so depressing that makes one feels this place is just for quick , low business . 3. The fact that a harsh Security Officer goes with you to open the door room for you; makes feel one is in the wrong place, 4. The wobbling chair and a table... More

Besides the good location and just a bus ride to the Penn station there is really nothing cool about this hotel. Not the beds, not the floors, not the bath. Cheap and that is what you get. Nice receptionist lady helped with use of her phone to place orders for food. That was cool. Well there are no phones in... More
