Although the sites were large and pretty private..some of seasonal people keep there areas VERY messy! I would not call it a resort. The bath houses were filthy and stunk. Often there would be kids fooling around in the bath houses. I would not return.

I've been here for 13 years and i hope to be here for at least another 13. I love it everyone is so friendly and nobody is building decks at 6:30 AM. all the activities that Kathy puts together. The staff is friendly. i love it!!

This campground offers great amenities including, Pool with patio, clean tables, chairs and lounge chairs. Big huge lake separated by dikes that I saw people fishing at. There is a beautiful beach (very clean) with lounge chairs and a separate pet beach which my dog loved. The recreation hall is large enough and had activities every few hours. There is... More

I've been coming to Timberline for three years and loved it so much I purchased a trailer this summer with my family. Our new neighbors made us feel like family right away. As we worked on our new place they brought us food and drink and a helping hand. A real community atmosphere where everyone says hello as you walk... More

I've been coming here on weekends for a long time. The staff is great and people nice. So I decided it was time a longer stay to test it out to before becoming seasonal. So we rented a site from June till the end of August. It was the worst camping experience we ever had. The seasonal people around us... More

We spent Aug 1-3, 2014 at Timberline lake and had a great time. I was concerned about the recent reports of lots of bugs. I know that all of South Jersey is know for the green heads, ticks and lots of other insects, but we did not have any issues. The staff did a great job adjusting the programs due... More

Timberline Lake was by far the most miserable camping experience our group has experienced in our seven years of camping with three other families. Upon arrival and reviewing the check-in literature, I was already disappointed. Their 30 acre lake is broken by impassable dikes producing four separate tanks which make kayaking a laughable ten minute experience. After expressing my disappointment,... More

Sorry for your trouble with the biting flies. South Jersey does have periods that these buggers come out. This year, for some unknown reason, they are the worst I have ever seen. Unfortunately, you were here during the height of their normal mid July invasion. Had you stayed a week later you would not believe it is the same place.... More

I am an avid camper and have travelled cross country, staying in dozens of camping areas. Biting flies are unbearable. Bathhouse is old and dirty. The only 2 good things are the large clean pool and good wifi.

We are sorry for your experience with the biting flies. I believe you were here with the other party in the next review. No question they will spoil your trip. Thankfully they are non existent most of the season or we would certainly not be booked every weekend. We appreciate your feedback and will do our best to correct any... More

This campsite is in a great location, near the shore and yet in a nice secluded area. The lake is very beautiful. We camped in a tent in front of the lake. The sites are huge, and all of them have electric and water. Bathrooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. The majority of the folks there are... More

We have a 38' class A - booked the site online- but confirmed by phone. When we got there after a 3 1/2 hour drive, they tell me that the site we booked was only rated to 35'- but that it "should work- so give it a try". It ultimately did work. Campsite is mostly seasonal residents- particularly at the... More

Sorry for the difficulty in parking your big rig. It appears you were parked in one of our empty seasonal sites and perhaps our normal weekend sites were booked. Both of our regular weekend areas have easy access to big rigs, but were apparently already fully booked. Along the lakefront they are all pull through sites and the field that... More
