Went there for a 4 day conference with my Wife. No Continental Breakfast on the weekend tho... Nice work out room and nice indoor pool/jacuzzi. Rooms were very clean and well maintained and cleaned well. Our room maid, Ms Agricola, was spectacular and very courteous and super friendly. Great Staff. Quiet hotel. No doors slamming or loud kids / guest.... More

I stayed at this hotel as part of a package tour of New York. The hotel offered comfortable rooms and beds and the only issue we had was that we heard traffic noise from the highway close by. The balcony doors weren't completely sealed when closed so that contributed to the noise. The buffet breakfast offered to guests was great... More

I choose the Hyatt as the location for a Banquet I was planning for my church. Upon arrival, I immediately noticed how beautiful the lobby of this hotel was. After I met the Hyatt Event Planner, Candice Butler and took a look at the Banquet rooms, I was sold. Candice Butler is an asset to the Hyatt Regency. She was... More

This is my second stay at this Hyatt. While I would consider it on the upscale side, they have a tendency to fleece you with the parking and the breakfast. Indoor pool is very nice and spacious. Surrounding area has a lot of nice restaurants and bars as Rutgers is less than 5 minutes away. Staff is fine and helpful

We were at the hotel for a large dance convention. Personnel were friendly, food and service in restaurant were less than acceptable. I was unable to access any hot water for showers. In their defense the place was inundated with teenage girls but it is a convention center so should have handled it more efficiently.

It’s in an urban area within walking distance of restaurants. Parking: There’s a parking garage next to the hotel. $16/day for guests. It’s a long walk from the hotel. Free continental breakfast if you’re a Hyatt member. If you want a hot breakfast (or are not a member), there is a restaurant downstairs whose breakfast buffet is about $24. Only... More

Very nice hotel and very, very convenient for Rutgers and J&J visitors. Near many good restaurants and theaters, as well as major highways. Discounted rates on weekends--but watch out for major Rutgers weekends.

This hotel needs renovation. A nice lobby but once you take the elevator to your room, you are welcomed by long corridors with boaring carpets. Idem ditto for the rooms: spacious rooms but needs renovation: the same carpets, no frigo, no safe deposit. It was freezing cold and icy outside, so I couldn't run outside and went to the gym... The Hyatt Regency is a very nicely appointed hotel, with comfortable rooms and wonderful beds however it is located within walking distance of Rutgers and therefore sometimes gets noisy. Pros: large room, plenty of space. All the conveniences you could ask for: coffee/tea, wifi, ironing board, bathrobe, etc. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. There is also a pool, but... It was a stressful start.....after check in our key stopped working and they kept giving me new keys with no success and even sent the engineer to change the battery in the door not once but twice with no success. I had to wait in my room for the assistant manager to call and for the engineer to fix the... More
