My husband and I recently returned from our trip to Newark for a friend's wedding. We took a red eye from LAX and the best part of the hotel was their ability to accommodate an early check-in. The room was fine, but nothing to brag about. The bathroom adequate, with a small tub (shower) and one sink. The bed was... more

My husband and I booked a room at the Heldridge for a wedding. Check in for the room wasn't until 4 pm.. quite late compared to other hotels. When I tried to check in earlier b/c my husband was a groomsman and need the room at 4 to quickly change for the reception, they could not accomodate us. In fact,... more

My husband and I booked this hotel last minute for a night away and were extremely glad we did. The hotel almost still has that new smell - it is bright, modern and clean. The staff and servivce were very good and efficient for our entire stay. We upgraded to a corner king suite and paid - $159/night. The room... more

My 2nd stay at this hotel did not dissapoint in any way. I thought that the first experience must have been a fluke bc the service was soo good. But no the staff went and proved me wrong by providing another great experience. Sooooooooooooooo I will stay here each time I am in the area even if I have to... more

Yes, indeed, this hotel looks nice and classy and lives up to the "casual but sophisticated elegance" of its marketing brochure. But the building techniques (directly inherited from the McMansion nouveau riche style so popular in Texas where the Heldrich's parent company is heardquartered) are so poor that you can hear everything from room to room (too bad if you... more

I have stayed at the Heldrich a few times. The hotel is Relatively new. The staff is very Friendly and accommodating. The restaurant in the hotel, Christopher's is very good. It is in walking distance to some other great ,restaurants, bars, and night clubs. Club Perle on Paterson street is just a few blocks away. Perle is a great place... more

I had a one night stay in New Brunswick and wanted to try a "non-chain" hotel so I choose the Heldrich. It is a newer building located in the middle of town which was good for me. However the parking was a little to be desired luckily it was a nice day or I would have been soaked the parking... more

Needed a place to stay for a night in New Brunswick. After much research landed on the Heldrich. 1st impressions were absolutely beautiful. The exterior is clean and even thought it is located in Downtown New Brunswick there was not a lot of people hanging around. Area felt pretty safe. Once inside our rooms we were impressed with the standard... more

We stayed the day after Labor Day for one night. I booked a suite for the last night of our trip and I wasn't disappointed with the facilities. On arrival we used the valet parking ($29 which compared to London prices is a bargain) - the guys were very helpful and also helped sort out our bags. Reception staff were... more

I booked at the Heldrich to crash the night of my bachelorette party in just in case we drank too much. I was going to book at the Hyatt, but the rate at the Heldrich was better, and since it was a new hotel, I figured I'd give it a shot! Well, my girlfriends gave me the ultimate surprise by... more
