Excellent accommodation, clean and elegant. Emma, Graeme and children were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them, from booking restaurants, making suggestions of places to visit and providing OS maps and guide books. Emma's home made cakes were delicious and freshly made daily, Emma has also given me several of her recipes. Breakfast was one of... More

Couldn't have been more pleased with Glenegedale House. Emma and Graeme were tremendously friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are very tasteful, comfortable and immaculately clean. Breakfast was amazing; couldn't resist the porridge with a sprinkle of whisky, followed by a superb cooked breakfast and Emma's freshly baked cakes. We will definitely stay at Glenegedale next time... More

We really loved to stay at Glenegadale. Everything was perfect from the welcoming to the living. We stayed 3 nights and every day Emma and Graeme make our day perfect helping us with our plans, booking for us the distilleries tours and the restaurants, advising us on what to see, what to do, we didn't missed a thing. You feel... More

Simply one the best places we have stayed in all our travels. Nothing was too much to do or organise for us from trips to making dinner bookings on our behalf. Room & breakfast simply first class. If you are looking for somewhere on Islay to stay this has to be your number1 choice. Many Thanks John & Morag

We recently stayed for two nights at Glenegedale and had a great time. Emma is keen to advise on places to visit and local restaurants. It is this time to chat and find out what you are interested in that makes a good quality B & B a better choice for those on holiday than a hotel. Two of the... More

well...what can I say...the porridge with cream...oh and the whisky....its a must...the look of horror on some guests faces until they try it is fabulous - then the taste hits and everyone can understand - divine! Thank you for taking time out to write a review for us - I really appreciate it. We hope to see you both back... More

Have just returned from 7 nights at Glenegadale. There is only one word that describes our stay and that is "perfect". Graeme and Emma are excellent hosts and their two. Holder nan absolute credit. It was the little touches that make this place to special! From the tastiest cakes to sample on arrival, the " White Company" toiletries in the... More

The owners, Emma and Graeme couldn't have been more hospitable. I had just finished a round of golf at nearby Machrie and was soaked for last nine holes by a huge rain storm. They graciously took my wet clothes and hung them in a warm area. Everything was dry by the morning. Their made to order breakfast was the best... More

Peter - thank you so much for such a lovely review. It was a pleasure to look after you both and help you enjoy your holiday. We came to Islay for a whisky pilgrimage and stayed 2 nights at Glenegedale House in June 2014. I just can't say enough good things about Emma and Graeme. They make fantastic hosts, make you feel so welcome and Emma feeds you until you just can't eat anymore! Her baking is legendary - just follow the Facebook page to see... More

We enjoyed fantastic self catering accommodation here for 4 nights. We had the cooked breakfast delivered each morning, we had sheep at the end of the garden, chickens we could feed and planes we could watch at the airport - let me just say our 2yr old boy loved it, as did our dog, with an enclosed garden to run... Emma and Graeme are the perfect hosts - welcoming, helpful, always ready to spend time for a chat, happy to recommend and book places to eat, and they even let us fuss one of the dogs indoors against some of the house rules :-) The beds are supremely comfortable and we both slept well and the lounges are beautifully appointed.... Tim, thank you for taking time to write a lovely review. It was just lovely to have yourself and your wife stay with us here at Glenegedale. Even with your knee still recuperating you still managed to explore "almost" every part of Islay with some pretty difficult walks. Graeme and I love to see people relaxing and enjoying all Glenegedale... More
