I was hesitant with it being next to the airport, but we rarely heard any flights, and slept very well. The rooms aren't large but they are beautiful, and Emma and Graeme are two of the most friendly and lovely people I've ever met. Take her advice on the porridge with Laphroaig, cream, honey, and brown sugar, and the rest... More

It might sound very exaggerated with the title but indeed the host Emma & Graeme has made the experience magical. The property is perfectly maintained with exceptionally comfortable decoration, the linens they use is of highest quality and smooth as silk, the welcome afternoon tea (and breakfast) is served in beautiful china, and the food was just delicious. What's more... More

There's something strange when one finds a mix of old and new. The rooms and bathrooms are pristine, up to date, but then to find proper china crockery, afternoon tea etc., was enchanting. Be careful at breakfast. You'll be given more than you should eat, but you'll eat it anyway it's so tasty. There's an astonishing array of fruits if... More

Warm friendly welcome. Room was lovely with comfy beds and a superb ensuite. The whole place is beautifully decorated and fresh. Breakfasts have a wide range of choice and are very tasty. Emma and Graeme could not have been more helpful, even arranging car hire for us. Would definitely stay there again.

I have just returned from a 3 day break in beautiful Islay. Staying in Glenegadale guest house made our stay even better. It was so beautiful, and traditionally Scottish. We got coffee and home made baking on our arrival and the hosts were so welcoming. The breakfast was amazing. Creamed porridge with a drop of Laphroig whisky on top, before... More

Stayed at Glenegedale House for only 1 night with hubbie and accompanied by sister but it left a lasting impression. Emma and Graeme are a delightful couple, very friendly and helpful and did everything to make us feel relaxed. The tea and cake on arrival was most welcome and delicious. Emma patiently found and booked us somewhere to eat. Everywhere... More

We stayed here in May during Feis Ile. Emma & Graeme couldn't have been more helpful, with the pre-trip planning information, the welcome tea and cake, the lovely room with powerful hot shower and comfy beds, lovely sitting areas, amazing breakfast, charming and polite children (2), down to their friendly dogs(2), ponies(2) and chickens( more than 2)! The B&B is... More

Yvonne and Thomas It was so incredibly lovely to have you both stay over the festival. We are so blessed with lovely guests and having you both stay was a joy. It was lovely to share a few blethers with you and hear about the days out at festival events and the people you met. We are both disappointed that... More

My wife and I stayed in the self-catering An Cuan detached house at the Glenegedale for three nights in the third week of May.

LOCATION:
The B&B is very conveniently located directly across the street from the airport. Don't let that discourage you as there are only a couple of flights a day. There are two main car hire businesses... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and everything was faultless. The room was excellent, very comfortable and clean. Excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful breakfast - even whisky with your porridge! Can't recommend it highly enough.

Thank you so much for writing such a great review for Graeme and I here at Glenegedale House. Graemes porridge is famous in its own rights now I think.....It has to be done so slowly over the Aga to get it just right and he has it down to a fine art....the Laphroaig whisky drizzled over with some cream and... We stayd at Glenegedale House during our 3 day stay at Islay in April and loved every second – you feel at home and at the same time you are treated as an important guest. The warm welcome was amazing and the owners were always more than helpful. The breakfast itself would be a reason enough to choose this place,... More
