Have just returned from 7 nights at Glenegadale. There is only one word that describes our stay and that is "perfect". Graeme and Emma are excellent hosts and their two. Holder nan absolute credit. It was the little touches that make this place to special! From the tastiest cakes to sample on arrival, the " White Company" toiletries in the... More

The owners, Emma and Graeme couldn't have been more hospitable. I had just finished a round of golf at nearby Machrie and was soaked for last nine holes by a huge rain storm. They graciously took my wet clothes and hung them in a warm area. Everything was dry by the morning. Their made to order breakfast was the best... More

We came to Islay for a whisky pilgrimage and stayed 2 nights at Glenegedale House in June 2014. I just can't say enough good things about Emma and Graeme. They make fantastic hosts, make you feel so welcome and Emma feeds you until you just can't eat anymore! Her baking is legendary - just follow the Facebook page to see... More

Michelle and David Thank you for taking time to write such a lovely review. It was so exciting hearing about all your training for such a prestigious event. You heightened our daughters love of her pony all over again. I am still very much learning about the more in depth side of my baking and learning what makes things taste,... More

We enjoyed fantastic self catering accommodation here for 4 nights. We had the cooked breakfast delivered each morning, we had sheep at the end of the garden, chickens we could feed and planes we could watch at the airport - let me just say our 2yr old boy loved it, as did our dog, with an enclosed garden to run... Thank you for writing a review for An Cuan our self catering house, I will need to set up a trip advisor page for the An Cuan as unfortunately we are not allowed to have the two businesses mixed to ensure people get a true picture of each service offered -An Cuan being self catering and Glenegedale House being a... Emma and Graeme are the perfect hosts - welcoming, helpful, always ready to spend time for a chat, happy to recommend and book places to eat, and they even let us fuss one of the dogs indoors against some of the house rules :-) The beds are supremely comfortable and we both slept well and the lounges are beautifully appointed.... Tim, thank you for taking time to write a lovely review. It was just lovely to have yourself and your wife stay with us here at Glenegedale. Even with your knee still recuperating you still managed to explore "almost" every part of Islay with some pretty difficult walks. Graeme and I love to see people relaxing and enjoying all Glenegedale... More

I was visiting Islay with my husband and my parents all the way from the US. We had a wonderful day on Islay visiting the distilleries. Unfortunately, or I should say FORTUNATELY we got fogged in and were unable fly back to Glasgow. We were very lucky to be able to stay at the Glenegedale Guest House. We didn't have... More

Emma and Graeme are justly proud of their 5-star rating at Glenegedale House, which is situated practically in the middle of Islay and convenient to everything. They deserve every star. They provided cheerful welcome, a comfortable accommodation with excellent ensuite facilities, and a huge array of fresh and nicely cooked breakfast delights. Be sure to try the breakfast porridge-and-cream at... More

Emma and Graeme are simply the most marvellous of hosts. They have a beautiful home, which was a joy to stay in. Fine food, wonderful hospitality and extremely caring. Prior to our visit we had a programme suggested by Emma, who made numerous bookings on our behalf. Her efforts meant we literally got the most out of our visit to... More

Glenegedale Guest House is the ideal place to base yourself on Islay. A beautiful house, great location, fantastic food and the most friendly, helpful owners. Emma and Graeme helped us organise our stay on the island. They recommended brilliant restaurants and all the best places to explore. When you come to Islay, Glenegedale Guest House is a must.

My boyfriend and I recently spent a long weekend at Glenegedale Guest House and couldn't fault it. Emma & Graeme are exceedingly warm and welcoming, offering us a cup of tea and chocolate brownie as soon as we stepped through the door!
