My colleague and I had to stay in the area for business. After reading reviews and pricing; we decided to stay at this Doubletree because we wanted our Hilton points. However, both of us agree that we will not stay here again. Check in and all interactions with staff was great. Efficient, helpful and no problem at all. However, here... more

I needed to stay in the area for one night and won this hotel through Priceline. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. You will not be overly impressed by any of the accomodation, but it seems perfect for a quick stay. General Appearance: The hotel seems to be a little older with renovations in certain areas. The lobby area... more

A good choice if you're in the area (northern NJ near the NY border). Clean, comfortable rooms, reasonable prices. A great (if small) fitness center. 10 minutes to the Ramsey/Rte 17 NJ transit station if you want to take the train into Manhattan. Only drawbacks- breakfast (a buffet) was so-so, and there don't seem to be any good restaurants for... more

Stayed at this hotel in October 2007 for a wedding. Typical for New Jersey, its on a large high speed state road/highway. So if you are coming from the south, you have to get off the highway and turn around to get into the parking lot. Also, please note for you do it yourselfers like me, I google mapped my... more

This is an older property that has been upgraded. Most of the prior reviews are right-on. The rooms are very clean, spacious and renovated. Staff are friendly. However, if you want to get to the front desk or elevator, you must negotiate stairs coming from the rear or side entrance. The public areas are so-so and not very spacious -... more

My family of five stayed here during a short visit to see relatives in a nearby nursing home. I gambled by using Priceline , knowing that the room type could not be guaranteed. Unfortunately for us, the hotel did not have a double room for us for both nights. They did, however, agree to let us have a double for... more

We visited the Hotel on Sept 22 and 23 2006 for an old college friends wedding. The rooms were more than adequate and the people working there were accomodating and attentive to our questions. The pub at the hotel was a plus for us after returning from the wedding. The only glitch the entire weekend was the Bus service hired... more

The quality of this hotel is very good, and the staff is outstanding. Make a reasonable request, and they'll help you out. The indoor pool is heated, the exercise equipment always works and the rooms are consistently clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were upgraded while I was there. The restaurant is convenient for breakfast and actually quite good for dinner.... more

Due to my business travel, I stay at this hotel 5 to 6 times per year (about every two months). What I get from this hotel has been very consistent for the last two years. I read the previous posts and find some to be accurate and some to be over the top. What I experience: The wirelness network works... more

I will preface this by saying that I hate when people come to this site, flame a hotel because the desk clerk didn’t smile and don’t offer any good reasons. This is not one of those posts. For what is presumably a business hotel (it is in Mahwah NJ after all) it does not seem to cater to business people.... more
