Stayed here the first week in December with my husband. We went for this hotel as it was half the price of hotels in Manhattan. The hotel was great. It was very clean, a spacious room, comfortable bed and a tv with plenty channels. to be honest we didn't really spend a lot of time in the room as we... More

One year ago, it appeared this hotel might be in decline but, now, that appears to have been reversed. The security and safety atmosphere is now acceptable and it is re-assuring to see one long time front desk person still there. The hotel's strengths remain a manageable commute into New York City, free parking, an abundance of snacks throughout the... More

hotel includes a continental breakfast and free wifi. Great value and only 4 blocks to the Path train that takes you into NY city. Newport Mall is very near and you find all international stores. 5 blocks to Hudson river walk way and the Manhattan view.

This hotel includes a continental breakfast and wifi. Great value and only 4 blocks to the Path train that takes you into NYC. We left a wallet in the room safe and called the hotel who immediately retrieved it and they are mailing it to us. Managers Brian and Quinten are great to work with. Rooms are very clean and... In planning for a visit to NYC for my birthday, all of the hotels there were incredibly high - even the hostels. More importantly, other reviews for those hotels had reviewer photos that were much different from the hotel photos. The price for this hotel, which is just across NYC via the Holland tunnel was just right. If you choose... More

I wasn't expecting too much of this hotel but given the time I was planning to spend in the hotel I didn't need a fancy place. The Holland Hotel turned out to be just right for me. The staff was very helpful, there was coffee all day, the pastries in the morning were not bad at all and there was... More

We were there to see as much of NYC as we could manage in 4 days however we didn't enjoy our stay at this hotel. Yes it offers free parking, a light breakfast ( there is no breakfast area, you select your food & have to bring it back to the room) , breakfast consists of some sweet rolls or... More

Stopped on the way to New England to go to see the Statue of Liberty. This hotel was close. It was close but nothing fancy. Only negative was that some one came in our room at 3:45AM woke us up, they left quickly. Never really got back to sleep.

We stayed to catch a concert at the Garden. We requested a non-smoking room. When we returned at night, the room smelled of smoke. It was awful - the room was eventually permeated. We requested another room at 1:30am - by then we each had a headache and stuffy noses. In the wee hours, we went across the hall to... More

While The outside of the hotel is very dated, plain, basic, and next to a noisy road (the road to the Holland Tunnel to NYC), the room was very clean, had a comfortable bed with new appearing bedspread, desk, dresser, lcd tv, refrig, microwave, and good sized tiled bathroom with shower, which has nice modern glass doors. Sometimes the water... More
