This hotel was just what I was looking for. It was a short walk to the PATH train. There is free parking. I always felt safe in and around the hotel. There was a mall really close by. The hotel itself was clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was average, but they always made sure it was... More

The room though small in size, it was clean, functional and was well serviced daily, did not lack for anything except for coffee / tea making facilities in the room but which were available in the lobby 24/7 and lacking laundry facilities. The staff were helpful, friendly and informative. The hotel is very handy to The Path train transport into... More

After reading other reviews we decided to try it. It lives up to its reputation! Great big clean rooms. Awesome friendly service. Free parking and breakfast. Observations: room by the main holland tunnel road = little noise. Hallways = old hotel smell. Breakfast = perfect. Quick and on the go. No dinning area.

This is a nice hotel, cheap, and great location. I felt safe here, and very comfortable. My husband and I stayed for three nights for our trip to NY. It is a pretty short walk to the PATH station, which is a cheap way into the city. The staff was nice, rooms were clean, and price was good. Free parking... More

We stayed for three nights in this hotel. We chose this one because it was pretty close to the city and parking was free. The room was actually very big for the three of us. There was lots of space for our numerous suitcases. The room was very clean. Although the Holland Tunnel was right next to us we did... More

I live in the area and have recommended this hotel to a number of friends looking to visit NYC conveniently but without paying NYC rates. I think its important to state that the hotel is clean and well taken care, since this is a basic requirement for any traveler. Besides that the main attraction is the proximity to NYC (right... Thanks to tripadvisor and reviews brought me to stay at Holland Hotel. At first look on google map it may seem sketchy, NOT the case. My family & I walked all round the area, came back late from NY via Path with no problems. Positive experience for small city folks. I would recommend highly Holland Hotel.

Very basic hotel with friendly staf. Very basic breakfast. The location is superb. You can be in downtown New York in 15 minutes from the hotel. Prices for hotels in downtown are much higher. Go for it!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2015

We've just completed a 4 day stay based on recommendations from others on this forum. This hotel is about 20 minutes from downtown Manhattan by local train and an alternative to the more expensive hotels in New York city. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff who showed a willingness to... More
