Sure, they smile at the desk. But, the manager runs the "campground" like an inner city parking lot-- which is what Liberty Harbor RV park is: a glorified parking lot. The situation: Not a lot of money involved, but the generally unfriendly, inconsiderate attitude toward a loyal repeat customer who has always followed the rules and paid on time. What... More

Everyone thought we were crazy when we said we were going to drive our RV to a family wedding in New York City. We followed the directions and exited I-78 (NJTP) just before the Holland Tunnel. Within 5 minutes we were pulling into the Liberty Harbor Marina & RV Park. The front office manager was so helpful and we were... More

We travel with three women and two little girls. This place was a great base for us while we saw the highlights of New York. The staff was very helpful with directions to the ferry to go to Liberty State Park for our Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty tour. They also gave great directions to the PATH station. Don't... This place is all about Location. It is a run down parking lot, part of a marina, with power and water hook ups. Funny enough, that is all I wanted from a place so close to Manhattan. The bathrooms are not great, and there is nothing to do on the grounds itself, but that isn't why we were there. It... More

This is the closest RV park to NYC and you have to look at staying here as a good base of operations for visiting New York City in an RV because the RV park itself is not really the type of RV park you would ever find yourself staying at in any other place other than NYC. It is a... More

we stayed for 3 days each twice in October. enjoyed the unique location, the ease of going to NYC, how interesting Jersey City is. It was not crowded either time in October. Anybody that wants to stay close to nyc in a rv should not pass this place up.

RUDE staff, Run down, dirty showers, Uneven gravel parking lot, No Wi Fi unless in small office, No night time attendees, No sewer/community dumping only upon waiting in long lines, located near loud parking lot so you will get no sleep, Charged my credit card an extra $40 fee even though we checked out with front office and noone will fix... We checked into the RV Park on Saturday the 18th and checked out on Monday the 20th. After reading some of the horrible reviews on-line I was very nervous about staying there especially since we were traveling with out two young children. However, it was a great experience! Unlike many RV parks, you can check in 24/7 as they have... More

Went here on Labor Day Weekend. When my husband went into the office he was told that they are not listed as a Good Sam Park therefore no discount. I also noticed that they charged us $15 more per night (we stayed three nights) and went in with my Good Sam catalog and asked why they said they didn't participate... More

Lots of negative reviews, hard to please I guess. We are a family of 5 who RV'd all across America and we arrived knowing it was a place to sleep close to NYC. Facilities are simple yet adequate but remember you are a 7 min ferry ride from Manhattan and you have views of the city and Statue of Liberty... More
