This quaint and colonial inn is located just over an hours' drive from New York City, yet you couldn't be farther from the City in character and feel. It is located in the small village of Hope, New Jersey, surrounded by farmland and farmhouses. The inn itself is in a colonial mill, replete with stone walls and ceilings with wooden... More

I stayed here and arrived not feeling too well. The staff went out of their way to help me with food and drinks that I could handle. The Inn is beautiful, the room was great. I wish I had been feeling better, but even that didn't stop me from having a great experience.

We stayed at the Inn at Millrace Pond after bringing our grandchildren home. The Inn is very colonial in period and charming. We had a room in the main house (#209) directly above the restaurant. The room was comfortable with 2 chairs and the bed. The furnishings are antique colonial in nature. The bathroom was updated to modern standards. The... More

We decided to have supper at the Inn on a Saturday night in April 2014. The restaurant was about half full when we arrived around 6 PM. The restaurant has a nice country look with a great atmosphere. They did have live music, but, the menu was limited and the food was just ok, not great but very pricey. We... More

went here for a small party and the food was horrible! Salad had no taste, steak was as thin as good be, more of a steak for breakfast (steak and eggs) and what the heck was that sauce on the steak EW! What was with the "petite dessert"? Two small desserts that weren't enough for a small child. Glad I... More

We are very frequent travelers both internationally and domestically for both pleasure and business and this the first time that I’ve ever been motivated enough to write a review. I’ve never been so disappointed in a bed & breakfast or hotel. The toilet over flowed and flooded the bathroom, our keys got stuck in the door forcing us to check... More

We stayed 2 nights using a Living Social coupon at this large 23 acre complex made up of a number of historic buildings that have 17 overnight rooms. They also have a restaurant, tavern and facilities for weddings, meetings, etc. We stayed in room 4 across from the grist mill (which houses the restaurant, tavern and some sleeping rooms). The... The Inn at Millrace is a beautiful restaurant and most of the staff is warm and friendly but don't want to stick around waiting on people. The restaurant food can be pretty pricey so we usually eat downstairs in the pub, which is a wonderful old atmosphere. The problem with the Inn at Millrace is that the staff seems to... More

All of the staff was absolutely amazing and willing to please. Both enjoyed the restaurant food and atmosphere. This is a historical gem. Our first night was in the gristmill itself and although the room was large enough and the bed comfy, the heating/cooling unit was loud. So, we asked for a better night's sleep and were moved to the... More
