My husband recently visited the Widow McCrea House and were so pleased! The house is immaculate, the hostess is charming and friendly, and the breakfasts are to die for!! I can't wait to go back and spend a little more time there and explore Frenchtown. Such a pleasant experience and a wonderful rest. Can't recommend this place more!

We stayed in the Kase Cottage which is a separate, private building detached from the main house. We could not have been more pleased! Delicious breakfasts were brought to our cottage each morning. We listened to music and sat by the fire by night, and explored Frenchtown and the surrounding area by day. The owners were most hospitable and made... More

Nice visit, cosy environment. Room and was nicely kept, clean and comfortable. The king size bed was just great-gave a good nights sleep! The breakfast was just delicious!!! Filling and yummy. Beautiful area in Pennsylvania-walkable with antique stores for window shopping. Within a short drive good decent Restaurants just ask the hostess at the B&B she was a great help.... More

We just keep going back to this place! Frenchtown is a great little town right on the Delaware river and a short drive to great other locations. All the rooms are great (and clean). The Kase Family Cottage is worth the extra money.

This past weekend celebrating our 19th Anniversary we decided to do something new being first time customers to a B&B. Can honestly say we can not wait to make another reservation at the Widow McCrae. We stayed in the cottage, which was very private, cozy and beautiful right down to the smallest décor. Spacious living area through out right down... More

My fiance (now husband) & I took a quick little get-away last fall to this picturesque little town along the Delaware River. We wanted a B&B & The Widow MeCrea was a wonderful pick! The house is just outside of the town center (a 5-minute walk) so it was a very nice & quiet area. The house itself if beautiful,... More

My husband and I just got back from a beautiful 2 night/3 day weekend at Widow McCrea's B&B.in the quaint town of Frenchtown, NJ (across the Deleware River from PA). It was easy to get to, and very well kept historic old home. We were on the second floor in the Rittenhouse room. It was large, clean and comfy. The... More

My husband and I have stayed here twice, and are planning to back again in a few weeks time. We love the Widow McCrea. Burt and Lynne are very sweet and welcoming, the home is in wonderful condition, the rooms are comfortable, and their breakfast is absolutely delicious! We recommend it highly!

Rereading the other reviews on this site, I realized the terrific reviews came from those that stayed in the most expensive rooms. My husband and I did not. The Widow McCrea has very pretty curb appeal. Nicely landscaped with beautiful flowers and shrubs. We arrived early for our two night reservation, and were allowed to check in because we were...
