The only High end Steak like house in Town. Music for Adults is great too. Terrific service and atmosphere. Great for couples and for a date . Expect to pay ...pricey. We both had steak and loved it. We have also gone to the bar only and it is also fun for adults over 35....not a kids place.

The Sunday Brunch at the American Hotel was great. They have a wide variety of food items to choose from. The omelet station was the most popular one. The servers are always on hand to take away your dirty plates. They would even fold up your linen napkins while you are at the buffet to fill up.

This hotel has always been a great spot until recently. We made a reservation for a Sweet 16 party and all i can say is = never again. The attitude was deplorable from the Front Desk on down. Who is running this joint?

I recently had my wedding here. Jim the maitr'd (sp?) was phenominal. Everyone raved about the cocktail hour. Warning that the filet mignon meal was overcooked. A pleasant surprise in the middle of freehold the only thing I did not like was no valet parking and surrounding area was a bit seedy

This is an Old hotel -old as in Abraham Lincoln stayed here in 1861. It has been refurbished and is in pretty good shape.
