I stayed there on July 3rd and 4th. The room is very comfortable and the staff is friendly. HOWEVER, I woke with several bites that turned out to be bed bugs (at first I thought they were mosquito bites, but when they went from itching to hurting I asked somebody who know what they were). I called twice to advise... more

Airport shuttle was prompt and driver friendly. Check-in was easy. Marriott gold rewards did upgrade us to small room on concierge floor. The lounge for evening and morning breakfast was great! But our room was so small and the walls were very thin. I heard a woman crying like a dog in heat most of the night. She was having... more

This is by far the worst full service Marriott property I have stayed at. The carpet is filthy throughout the hotel. The wallpaper is peeling on every surface and the climate control in public areas is not functioning. The staff were too busy having conversations with each other to assist guests. The list goes on and on. One plus is... more

This hotel is minutes from Newark's Liberty Airport, and therefore, very convenient. It is not a destination location by any sense. But, if you find yourself needing lodging near the airport, this place is fine. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful, particularly David, the general manager. He really went out of his way to be friendly and helpful at... more

This hotel has been totally renovated!...formerly a Doubletree, it had some serious issues!..was leary at first b/c I'd stayed when it was DT.Don't miss out on staying at one of the BETTER Newark Hotels.Beds are comfortable, flat screen t.v. w/HDTV was a plus.Being a Marriott elite I was given a comp movie&chk-in gift. The lobby has a "sitting room" great for... more

This is a great hotel. I went with my family in august and we had a great time. They have a free shuttle that brings you to the airport. We used it several time. There's a mall not far from the hotel the Jersy Garden Mall, The hotel gives you free ticket to go there with a shuttle that you... more

Called the desk for help and had to call again 45 minutes later to get someone to the room to check it out. The maintainace man said the heater has been broke for... more

Stayed at the Renaissance Newark on a Park and Fly on the outbound leg, and another night upon return. Hotel runs a shuttle to Newark airport, once every 20 minutes or so. Pretty convenient. Driver courteous and helpful. The shuttle drops off and picks up at P4, and the skytrain takes you to terminals. Hotel had very good rates for... more

The mattresses, pillows & bedding at the Renaisssance were superior. Every nights sleep was a good one. The rooms are a very nice size and equiped with a fridge. Housekeeping was excellent though I did have a problem for some reason getting ice bucket liners. The restaurant has a very good buffett breakfast. And there is free parking. The staff... more

I thought this hotel was very appropriate for the price. we were there after 8 hours in the car and it was so nice to relax on the comfortable beds they had. we ate at the hotel since it was convienient. I wouldnt recommend the dining just because it was very slow and being young the waitress hardly checked on... more
