Hard to believe trip advisor even lists this rental. The grounds were atrocious, 2 foot high weeds, gravel road, no grass just gravel and dirt, firepit full of debris, no lighting, only one other "shack" occupied. It was like being in an abandoned trailer park. Water smelled, could barely turn around in bathroom,2 thin towel setups for 4 people, dirty... More

We have just returned from our experience of renting a "luxury cabin"! It was the worst experience of our life! The picture presented on the internet was a fabrication of the real thing. Our cabin was ill stocked, dirty, the hot tub was unusable, the water smelled like sewer, the grounds were so neglected we were afraid of snakes. The... More

I've read all the reviews....I'm one of six flags workers who where living at laurel pond in summer 2012. First time that was like a huge shock for us (wild forest with wild animals, no transportation to six flags or city, bad internet connection and so on). Also the nearest shop was like 40 min walking. We had no cars,... More

Laurel Pond is a money making SCAM! We stayed here in our RV in one of their "Luxury" sites. The website shows beautiful, clean, well maintained sites. In reality you get a dirty, muddy site over grown with bushes. The "president" or "manager" Steven D. Catalano moves you in, collects your money and is never to be seen or heard... More

The cabins are a great way to get a little country life and not be stuck in a hotel room. Our puppy dog loved to run around in the open areas that surrounded the area. We were displaced from Hurricane Sandy and this was exactly what we needed to fill comfortable while our house was being repaired. The fire pit,... More

I heard this place was closed down by the bank but here is the deal: No reliable hot water...or running water for that matter. Water runs out often. Loud noise, tons of late night parties by workers of Six Flags Upstairs loft too small to sleep in, could be dangerous in event of fire or emergency Spider infestation Water smells... More

We arrived at our cabin pretty late (a little after 10 pm) on Friday night. It was the manager that met us at cabin with the key. He was getting a fire started for us to relax by (It was a long drive through Connecticut, New York and New Jersey, thank you). In the main bedroom there is a TV... More

Stayed here several times over 4 years in our RV as it was within 30 minutes of our daughters college. It was never a 4 star resort but served our our purpose and we could put up with the small problems we encountered. Our last visit in April 2012 was awful (our assigned site was not available - open site... More

I stayed here for 5 days and I'm glad it wasn't anymore than that. When we got to the place no one was there to give us our key. We called but got no answer, they finally called back with the code to get in. It was a huge disappointment. The linens were obviously not washed, there was girls hair... More
