The site itself may be nice. But unless you have absolutely no interaction with the guy who runs it (which is nearly impossible, since he is clearly a control freak) you will not have a happy, relaxing experience. You can tell enough by the hostile signs when you first drive in. This guy has absolutely no people skills and runs... More

Since you didn’t specify any particular instance of why you were given an attitude other than from the signs when you pull in, it is difficult to address your comment. However in respect to the signs when you enter that you describe as hostile, let me point out the only signs we have in our entrance is the wolf preserve’s... More

As the type of girl who was never really excited about the idea of camping in a tent, Camp Taylor was able to really change the way I feel about camping. The site was great and really welcoming. The owner was at the office and store and gave us a quick overview of the area as we had never been... More

Typically when you're camping you have to sacrifice either gorgeous setting for friendly people, or clean bathrooms for a gorgeous setting, but Camp Taylor has all three in spades. My boyfriend and I love camping and arrived on Friday September 5th around 5 PM. We had to move our reservations twice this summer due to last minute planning problems, so... More

Please look at other places before you go here. This place has the worst service ever, they actually yelled and disrespected my 26 year old special education wife! We came out and said we had a dog but apparently they don't allow it. The lady we made a reservation with didn't mention that we couldn't bring the dog even though... More

Everyone is informed when reserving a rental that pets are not permitted. No one on our staff would have told your wife differently. There is a spot on the form to check off as they take the reservation to be sure the firewood and pet policies are stated. Your reservation had both spots checked. Your wife told us she found... The camp was quiet at night. We sat around the campfire listening to the crickets, bullfrogs and wolves. So wonderful. Plenty of areas to hike to. Such a pretty area. We loved the lake and its swimming area. The lake bottom at the swimming area was soft and sandy, which I loved because my feet are sensitive. There is a... More

Spent a summer weekend here with my 6-year old on on our first camping trip together. We ended up in site #3, which was the closest tent site to the camp store/showers, etc. but was completely secluded and felt as if we were in the middle of the woods. Full vegetation surrounds most of the sites, so you have the... More

We decided to make Camp Taylor our homebase while visiting NYC. We were basically just there to sleep and shower. Our site was beautiful and very private. We stayed there for 3 week nights (Tues to Thur) so the campground was very quiet. The only exception would be the sounds of the crickets - Katydids! We heard the wolves at... More

I just returned from a lovely stay at Camp Taylor. I took my two girls, ages 3 and 6 for their first 'camping' experience and we had a great time. We rented the deluxe cabin which had a kitchen and bathroom with shower and was very clean and practically new. The campground was safe, private and quiet- and the best... More

We took our small RV to Camp Taylor and thought it was so lovely that we booked the season. My site is secluded and has trees,a fire ring, picnics table and flat area. The owners enforce the rules,so the result is a campground that is orderly, clean, quiet and uncrowded. The bathrooms and showers are spotless. And people, its near the AT and... More

Camp Taylor was a great camp ground. Everything was clean and neat. The staff was always nice and pleasant. If you have any question they would answer it to the best of their ability. In fact the store was closed and my wife wanted a cup of tea, the owner just open the store and got her a cup of... More
