Arrived at the HIE in the dark which was probably a good thing. There is nothing very appealing about the location. Whilst close to the stadium, Izod centre and racetrack, the surrounding area is industrial and not particularly attractive. I chose this hotel based on its proximity to Giants Stadium. The problem was that google maps shows it in two places, one significantly closer to the stadium than the other - but the farther one is the truth. Taxi driver had difficulty finding the hotel from Manhatten, that was the only bad part. Bus stop is right outside the hotel and takes about 20 mins - great views of Manhatten on the way in and at night time. The breakfast in the morning is top class and kept us going until the evening - loads of sweet things.... more

Good overall experience. 2 minute drive to Giants Stadium- which was the purpose for our trip, if you wanted it's walkable! Pick up the bus across the street for a 25 minute ride into Manhattan, but long wait and confusing to find correct bus back to the hotel. Great location, close to Manhattan, close to Jersey shopping and close to sports venues. Hotel staff was friendly, and very helpful. The mini fridge in the room was not working so we were moved to another room. The free breakfast was very good and more than just a continental.
