While the hotel itself is nice, we stayed in the Grey cottage, which was less than we expected. The 2nd bedroom is tiny, but has a large bathroom, the large bedroom has a ridiculous bathroom. Its a bit run down - not at all what I expected. But the location is fantastic and the staff is great, too.

We stayed in the Pink Cottage which is part of the Virginia Hotel properties. The room was nicely done and had all the amenities that you need in a bed an breakfast and even added features. The bar made the best bourbon manhattan and the bar food is a conversation starter. Breakfast was brought to our room on a tray... More

We spent Christmas weekend there. We have stayed in Cape May several times, usually over Thanksgiving weekend, which, we prefer. But, this is our first time at the Virginia hotel. It didn't disappoint. What a charming hotel, with lovely spacious rooms. The only drawback are the baths, which need updating. There was little counter space for our toiletrees. One sink.... More

We had a wonderful experience at the Virginia Hotel. The staff was very friendly and professional. the room was very clean. Loved the breakfast area and the cottage. It was our first trip to Cape May but definitely there will be more. I won't even consider to stay in another place. Overall it was a truly wonderful experience.

I usually stay in Starwood chain hotels - Westin or W, because I know what to expect. I was a road warrior and am always nervous about staying in non chain hotels. The Virginia hotel didn't disappoint - the beds are similar to Westin's Heavenly bed and decor is modern like W. We stayed in a queen size room, which... More

We had a great experience at the Virginia Hotel. Room was perfect, the staff was attentive and friendly and dinner was fabulous. Loved the bar and chatting with other guests and the bartender who made perfect drinks. Our next visit to Cape May will definitely include a stay at the Virginia Hotel.

My family and I stayed at the Pink Cottage to celebrate my mother's 60th Birthday. We had a wonderful time and loved the cottage. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. There were 9 adults and 8 children in our group and we never felt overcrowded!!

This is supposedly one of the best places to stay in Cape May. The bedding was great. The furniture was in bad shape. The shower had three heads, so it made up for almost any other shortcomings. Restaurant good, but totally overpriced.

This classy Victorian hotel is, for me, in the perfect location: Close to the beach without the crowds and in a beautiful Victorian street. The hotel is well kept with odd imperfect touches, such as the room door locks, the seal around the shower rooms etc. The ample breakfast was very good and served promptly. Unfortunately one has to eat... More

I had not been to Cape May since my honeymoon in 1989 (at a different B&B) and was anticipating that it would be as nice as I remembered. Not so. Th Virginia Hotel staff was not helpful at all. I was pretty much told to park were ever I wanted and someone would bring my bags to my room on... More
