The Virginia Hotel was part of my last minute search for a place to stay in impossible Cape May, that wasn't $300+. The sister hotel of the Congress Hall, it is also one of prestige. When booking the gentleman on the phone informed me that "Miss, you will be staying at the hotel with the finest dinning on the beach,... more

Being a native of The Jersey Shore, I have visited and stayed in Cape May dozens of times, but this past June was my first overnight visit to the Virgina Hotel. It's centrally located in the heart of Cape May right on Jackson Street. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, and very clean. The staff was extremely courteous and very... more

We stayed at The Virginia Hotel in Cape May, NJ for a few days. The hotel is nice enough. I travel quite a bit and stay in boutique hotels whenever possible, so The Virginia was in keeping with my usual hotel standard. The room we booked was a bit small, but the hotel overall is small and intimate, so this... more

My mom and I were extremely impressed during our recent stay. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in other than my own. The service was superb, from the valet, to the front desk, to room service. Everything was so elegant, I would highly recommend! more

Let me start off by saying this was my first time in Cape May...and what a wonderful place it is! The homes were beautiful, the people were friendly, and there were plenty of things to keep us occupied (i.e. lots of restaurants and shops, we took a trolley ride, and the beach was 1 block away!). The received a gift... more

My wife and I stayed at the Virginia Hotel Dec. 14th-16th to rest up before the upcoming holidays, and the pending arrival of our first child. I always find it helpful when folks review hotels if they give a little info about themselves, so I know where they're coming from, so to speak. My wife and I are young (in... more

We have stayed at the Virginia Hotel in the past and loved it but our most recent experience was so awful that we left early even though we had pre-paid for another night. We stayed in a front room with balcony on the night before Thanksgiving. The hotel staff had just decorated for Christmas but hung the lights wrong. Floodlights... more

Lovely, freshly decorated accomodation, very comfortable bed, central location, and a nice breakfast with really good coffee. Very pleasant staff, but front desk a little disinterested. Parking is valet only. Nice small hotel feeling with popular but pricey restaurant. All in all, a VERY nice experience and we would definitely stay there again. more

The good: great location, nice breakfast, the restaurant Ebbitt room was excellent...probably the best Cape May can offer, free beach chairs and umbrella. The bad: we had a room on the second floor which was extremely small and had a terrible view on a rooftop with a central a/c unit. Unfriendly staff at check-in/out. The blond chick working behind that... more
