It pains me to write this review, as we were really looking forward to staying here over Valentine’s Weekend on their “Winters are Wonderful” package. We stayed for three nights in Room 204, checking in Thursday before Valentine’s and checking out on Sunday. Overall, our experience did not “set the standard for luxury hotels in Cape May” as their website... More

As a Christmas gift, our adult children gave us a getaway weekend at the Virginia. We chose to go on Valentine's Day weekend, and we could not have been happier with our stay. Every staff member was professional, helpful, and friendly. The room, though relatively small, was charmingly decorated and, most importantly, spotlessly clean, as were the public areas of the... The Virginia Hotel is a great place to get away, especially in the winter. The weather may not be the greatest but you will certainly experience the warmth from the hotel and all it offers. Considered a boutique, the rooms are extremely comfortable and inviting. They do have a bar inside the room but you do have to pay. Usually... More

We have stayed hear 3 times now and each time it gets better. The rooms are quality and comfort, The Ebbit Room is superb, can be a bit noisy at times. Bar is a little on the tight side but the bartenders are fast and make great cocktails. We unfortunately had a warm afternoon with rain so we took advantage... More

We stayed in the Jackson Suite of the Red Cottage across the street from the hotel. A nice bedroom with a very comfortable bed, a separate sitting room with table, chairs, fridge, microwave, keurig coffeemaker, and closet with safe. The best part was the balcony which spanned the entire width of the house on the second floor. The hotel was... More

I have mixed feelings as I write this review; however, let me begin by saying that we love the Cape Resort properties and service. My hubby and I visit the Ebbit Room every time we are in Cape May and thoroughly enjoy the superb food there. Helen and Leo are the best! :) We booked a room at the Red... More

We stayed in the Red Cottage across the street, also run by the Virginia. The whole place is filled with Cape May's Victorian beachy charm. As with all of Jackson St. parking is a challenge, but the hotel offers valet. Loved having a cocktail in the elegant lounge, though the restaurant menu wasn't really to our taste or budget. The... My husband and I stayed at The Virginia the night of our wedding and since then have come back often for dinner, drinks, just stopping in when walking in Cape May too. We love this place. They were so professional and caring even when my wife forgot her wedding gown on the back of the door when we left. Yes... More

My husband and I stayed at The Virginia over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. What a lovely way to spend a quiet, restful holiday! Santa even visited our room while we were in the hotel's restaurant and left a beautiful The Virginia ornament. The bedding was great - very comfortable and upscale. The room was a bit on the small... More

The Virginia is a beautiful Victorian in the heart of the historic district. Our room was small but comfortable. No elevator, which might be difficult for some people. Our room was very small but cute and clean. Free wifi which worked well. Breakfast is pretty good, you fill out a card the night before indicating what you want, and leave... More
