My wife and I stayed here a couple of weeks ago for a mid-week birthday trip. This is a really great hotel in a really great location. Cape May itself was outstanding and the Virginia Hotel only added to our experience. We stayed in a "petite" room on the 3rd floor (#305). The room itself was beautiful, just like the... More

Stayed here during the week leading into the Fourth of July weekend. We were booked into room 206 by our daughter who gifted this stay for our 40th wedding anniversary. It included a beach package that featured a tented cabana with lunch served daily. Wow, 206 is the largest room in the hotel, located at the front of the building... More

I could not find much info about this prior to our stay so I will try to be detailed. Rented the Ocean and Southern suites in the red cottage. 1st floor, 3 bedrooms (2 Kings and one Queen), Living room with pull out, full kitchen, 2 1/2 baths and washer and dryer. Kitchen: dishwasher, microwave, full size fridge, pots, dishes,... More

This was our first visit to Cape May, and we were very pleased with the charm of this beach town. The Virginia Hotel was a great place to experience the ambiance and quiet enjoyment. Ideally situated in the middle of the historic Victorian district, we could walk to great restaurants, neat little shops, and of course right down to the... More

Configuration of the red cottage is poor. Beautiful bedroom but faces the street. Extremely noisy all night long! As soon as the last of the bar crowd leaves the Mad Batter, you are awoken by the large trucks dropping off produce and goods for the Virginia Hotel. Very pricy stay and no sleep = awful vacation.

We've been coming to the Virginia for more than 15 years and it only gets better with time! Fabulous atmosphere, top-knotch dining, fun bar with specialty cocktails and ingredients from their farm, lovely rooms and great staff! There is nothing missing here! Tara and her group know how to make guests feel special! In a town chock full of B&Bs... More

We had a wonderful stay at The Virginia Hotel! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The location, beautiful rooms and amazing restaurant were outstanding. The beach set up is first class-plush chairs, umbrellas and food and drink service. We were able to walk everywhere and rented bikes to go out to Cape May Point... More

Stayed for 2 nights during our anniversary. Loved how close it was to walk into town or to the beach. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning as it was delivered to our room one day and we ate on the front porch the next day. We were comfortable (other than the air conditioner being down) in our room with a... More

Stayed here again. The place is great. They resolved the WiFi problem they had during my last stay. I'll stay again, but there have been some changes that need addressed. The breakfast on the porch is lovely, but the food has gone downhill. The muffin used to be large, delicious. Now it is so small we actually could not find... More

It was our first time as guests at The Virginia Hotel and it was lovely! It is a different experience from a big hotel and that is what makes it special. I had initially booked one night at the pink cottage but decided to add on a night. As the initial room at pink cottage wasn't available, our reservation clerk... More
