We have been staying at the Grand every summer for seven years and as usual we loved our stay. The rooms have been redecorated and updated and look lovely and very tropical. The room was spotless, beautiful new bedspreads and linens, comfortable King sized bed, sitting area, great TV and an awesome view of the beach from our balcony that... more

Our extended family has booked reunions each year at the Grand for the past 15 years or so. Beach across the street, town nearby - nice location. The heated outdoor pool is pretty, and as warm as the indoor pool (mid 80's?). The indoor pool area renovations have come along slowly, but are ok (the ceiling looks much nicer now,... more

My group just recently returned to The Grand for the ninth year for our annual conference and we can't say enough about what a wonderful experience we all had. Our conference hosts approximately 100-125 people each year and everyone at The Grand - front desk staff, housekeeping, maintenance, managers - all strive to provide a sincerely great experience. We had... more

All I can say is that the posts are accurate in depicting the filth factor. Really the only thing needed to be said was upon my arrival last summer I has greeted by a huge crap stain on the blanket of the bed in the master bedroom...I kid you not...YIKES! more

Our organization has an annual weekend event which has about 1,000 attendees. We have stayed in a number of different cities/hotels over the years and have been going to The Grand Hotel for the past 8-10 years. We go back every year because of the outstanding service we receive. From the manager, Alan Schoenleber, to the desk staff, to the... more

I have been coming to the Grand Hotel for 6 or 7 years now under various names, because we always come with a large group of people. This year we were extremely disappointed because they never told us that Ballyhoo's was closed for renovations. We checked on line the week before we were to come down and they had just... more

My best friend was married in February in Cape May and had her reception at the Grand Hotel. I was the maid of honor, and all I can say is the wedding coordinator at the Grand, Karen, is awesome. She was sooooo helpful to us. My friend almost had her reception at Congress Hall. We did not know about the... more

This hotel gives the initial appearance of being clean but wait until you get to the room. The floors were dirty. There was mold. The cabinets were coming off the walls. The light bulbs were all different kinds. I assume to hide the dirt factors.. I travel often and stay at Marriott's and Comfort inn's. I have seen hotels and... more

We booked a "townhouse" unit for a family week-end. The unit slept up to 10 people, yet the dining table would only accomodate 5-6 if we really squeezed together. After the first day the cleaning staff did not leave kitchen linens. When we tried to get the dish cloths and towels from the staff, none spoke or understood English. They... more

I attended a weekend doll collectors convention at the Grand Hotel. Immediately there was a problem. I was sharing the room with a woman friend ,and we were given a room with one king-sized bed because we hadn't requested two beds. Others complained that the same thing had been done to them. The room itself was quite dark and had... more
