We spent four days and nights at the Congress Hall Hotel for a family reunion in August. Tragically, during the reunion a family member died suddenly in California and some of us had to immediately leave Cape May and head across the country. The staff at Congress Hall could not have been nicer or more more helpful, caring and compassionate.... More

Definitely a unique place, with lots of history. We had a room with a balcony. Frankly, the cost was ridiculously high for what you get and I would skip the balacony if we ever stay there again (but, I suppose it is a question of "supply and demand"). Small room, with the usual amenities at best. In addition, we are... More

My husband and I arrived on August 10th we where suppose to stay 3 nights. I previously had surgery and thought I would be up for the vacation. I got sick the first night. I tried to stick it out but by lunch time the next day I knew I had to go home. I told the front desk my... More

I have been coming to cape May for 3 years. I have stayed at Congress Hall the last 2 years and just checked in today for the 3 rd year and would not consider staying anywhere else. The hotel has a unique charming feel to it as soon as you step in the front door. It is extremely family oriented... More

I have been coming to the jersey shore for fifty years. There is no better hotel or location than Congress Hall. The rooms are great and the service has always been excellent. There is a comfortable feeling here. The Blue Pig provides delicious meals that are priced right. There are all the accommodations you need from the pool to the... More

We had another great stay at congress hall. This is a place that just exudes old world charm with modern amenities. The ocean is just a stone's throw away, the sprawling lawn is well maintained and beautiful. The entire property is very pleasant and well appointed. The location is absolutely perfect for a stay in Cape May. The only draw... More

Congress Hall is a charming old hotel in the center of Cape May. The landscaping around the property is amazing, it reminded me of Longwood Gardens. We found the pool and beach service to be excellent. The staff was very friendly and attentive. It was great not having to bring all the beach stuff with us. We just walked down... More

The Congress Hall and its sister properties provide great service in keeping with Cape may's historic character. Excellent pool and beach service is provided by an energetic, warm and friendly staff (Danny helped move my wife's umberella several times). Drinks on the veranda made a rainy day pass quickly. Tandem and surrey bike rentals were a blast. The sister hotel... More

This hotel is definitely over-priced, but it does have a lot of amenities. In addition, the proprietor gets very defensive on tripadvisor. There are a few problems for the price. The keys are quaint, but they don't always work. There are rooms in very noisy areas. Getting stuck over the lobby/bar is a nightmare. Now here is the problem with... More

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Congress Hall. The property itself is very charming, the room was large and clean. We especially loved the rocking chairs on the veranda. There were lots of activities for both adults and children. We also enjoyed the spa and the beach service. However, for the price we expected better service. Arrived on... More
