We were looking forward to our long weekend at the Congress for several months and besides from the weather not cooperating it was a lovely stay. We were warmly welcomed on arrival and the hospitality continued throughout our stay. The location is perfect, right across the street from the beach (there really aren't any true beachfront hotels on ocean ave,... More

Great location, pleasant staff but if the beds were on rollers they would roll across the uneven floor. But that is part of the charm--very clean and very courteous house cleaning staff .Initially could not find our reservation but after 20 minutes or so cleared that up. I would have appreciated a comfortable chair to sit in and read while... More

Best place to stay in Cape May. The only hotel I know if with a resort-feel. Blue Pig restaurant is fabulous. Rooms are really cool with Victorian charm but doesn't feel "old." Pool is great for late afternoons with cocktail service. Lobby bar is hopping in the evenings.

Stayed here for a few days for our Cape May vacation and enjoyed it. Not our favorite hotel but it has a lot of history and it is very nice! I hesitate to say anything bad about it, because it wasn't, not at all! Uncomfortable queen bed that we had to lay a folded comforter on to get it comfortable... More

This place was beautiful. A block off the beach it offers a GRAND hotel with a large staircases descending into a quaint lobby. Old artwork and vintage photos and posters cover the walls. However, the place doesn't feel dated or have a musty air to it. Grounds are manicured. Staff is attentive.

I'm not much of a beach person, so chose this hotel on the basis of the pool and was not disappointed. From the initial greeting to the brilliant service throughout the day I was reluctant to move. The adult pool was perfectly situated, the frozen drinks were delicious and I can highly recommend the guacamole and chips. If you are... More

I had a very nice stay here with my family in late August. The room was pretty yet basic and very clean, it had an beachy feel to it. The bathroom had a nice tub and old fashioned tiles, also very clean. The beach and ocean view was also fantastic- very pretty and it came with a nice breeze. Downstairs there... More

Stayed here in early May before the major crowds hit. Wasn't very crowded but the rooms are very nice and very clean. Beach is right across the street . Restraint inside was exceptional . The bar inside was also a fun place to get a drink at night , only gripe is that the pool wasn't very big overall awesome... More

Congress Hall offers the ultimate vacation spot. The staff is super accommodating. They even charged my iPhone when asked and found me a box for my roses to take home with me. The room is large and clean; no fancy stuff; coffee maker or such but comfortable. Nice view of the pool and ocean. An enormous number of rockers and... More

For our annual mother-daughter trip, my mom made reservations at Congress Hall. It is such a wonderful place to relax and it feels like you are on a plantation by the sea! There is so much character and charm throughout the hotel. We had the opportunity to enjoy the bar after a lovely dinner in town. The drinks were delicious... More
