Congress Hall is a very old hotel. There are pictures in the lobby of John Phillips Souza playing there in 1866. The current incarnation is perfect for how we live today. Very well-restored Victorian hotel. Public areas on first floor have grand proportions. Sophisticated, whimsical decor. We arrived on a cold, rainy day in mid-March, resigned to spending more time indoors than out.
