The inn is located on a very nice street with other fine Victorian homes. It is in walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and tours. We never used the car in the 4 days we were there. The house itself is well kept and had a great staff (Patrick and Jean). The breakfast food was excellent and unlimited. An... more

A haven of sort, visited during a Nor'easter storm with a very welcoming staff. A warm fireplace to provide comfort while sharing a glass of wine with that special person in your life. Rooms are simply charming having the pleasantry of a big fluffy mattress' just like when you visited your Grandmothers house. You will love the breakfast along with... more

Both my girlfriend and I live and work in Manhattan. We booked the Summer Cottage Inn for a weekend escape from the city 2 weeks after Labor Day (late in the season). It was our first visit to CM, so we weren't sure what to expect. I think we were both pleasantly surprised at the entire experience. Simple... quiet... charming...... more

This B&B is one of the best kept secrets in Cape May! The house is beautifyl and after the first day, I began to feel as if I were at home. The porch has wonderful (and comfortable) rockers and a "to die for " swing. Breakfast was served from the dining room buffet style but you could eat on the... more

My mom and I started making a school-year-end ritual of escaping the stress of every day life by getting away for a girls' weekend to Cape May. We've stayed at our share of places, and as one inn owner commented, "Ah ha, I see you girls have slept around!" In the beginning, the plan was to try a new B&B... more

I've stayed in several B&B's in Cape May, and Summer Cottage is the coziest. I love a big breakfast, and the French Toast is to die for! The large veranda has plenty of rocking chairs and a comfy porch swing. My daughter and I have always made friends relaxing there. The Inn is a block from the beach and close... more

Cottage Inn offers the charm and splendor of Victorian Cape May at its best. The parlor and sitting areas capture the warmth, comfort and true feeling of Victorian society. Patrick is a delightful and very personable host and he offers exceptional suggestions on how to spend the day/evening. He scores high marks with his tips for lunch, dinner and drinks... more

We came back to the Summer Cottage Inn after twelve years and found it even better than we remembered. The location was great, breakfast and tea time were wonderful but what really stood out was Patrick, the Innkeeper. He helped us find restaurants, raised the seats on our bikes, checked the weather for our bike ride and was wonderful to... more
