We have recently returned from another amazing stay at the Saltwood House on beautiful Jackson Street in Cape May. We have stayed at the Saltwood for 13 years, often several times in one season. When the doorbell is answered and we see owner Don's smiling face, we know we are "home". All guests, old and new, become part of the... More

Well we are coming to the end of our week at the Saltwood. This is our sixth year. Each year is better than the last. Don and Eric run a great B&B. Each day they serve a great sit down breakfast and you can share good conversation with the company of the other house guests. After breakfast you will find... More

We just had another enjoyable stay at the Saltwood House. We have been staying at bed and breakfast in Cape May for the past 15 years. We have tried a number of places with varied success. I can assure anyone that is comparing various properties in Cape May that they need to look no further. You can book your stay... More

We loved it!! Don & Erik were so welcoming and so nice! This is the perfect place to stay if you want to get a true feel for a bed & breakfast. The location could not have been more perfect, you are right in between the beach and the shops. I would def. stay there again! :)

That sums it up for us - when you're at the Saltwood House you're just as comfortable as you are at home. We just returned from our third stay with Don and Erik and, as before, we could not have felt more welcome. But then, that's just part of what they do best. We've said it before - the house... More

Just returned from my yearly stay at Don's beautiful home in Cape May. I have been a guest there for many years and would never think about going anywhere else. Don and Erik are both gracious hosts and always make you feel welcome and happy to have you back each year. The rooms are warm and cozy and very comfortable... More

We have stayed at many many other B&B's in Cape May but since we found the Saltwood House years ago, we have not stayed anywhere else, and have no plans to do so. The on-site parking, the location on Jackson Street, the cleanliness of the house, the tasteful decorating, the excellent breakfasts, and the outstanding service provided by Don and... More

The Saltwood House is a gem in the heart of Cape May. This is my 10th visit and I find something new to appreciate each time. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. The antiques the owner shares so generously with his guests are amazing and add to the charm of this well kept Victorian lady. The porch is welcoming and... More

We have just returned from our Oktoberfest weekend with other long returning friends and it was wonderful as always. I have been staying with Don for 17 years, and would be extremely disappointed if he did not have availability when we wanted to visit. His home is spotless as.always, and Don takes such pride in it. We enjoy the Victorian... More

Nice B&B, but not a five star B&B. The location is excellent and the quaint atmosphere was inviting . On the down side, the bed was lumpy and soft, the bathroom is dated and cheaply renovated (circa1970). Breakfast is served at a hard time, with no variety. The quality of the food was fine, but not at a caliber of... More

All the probflems stated in this review boil down to possibly one implied, but not directly stated, guest issue that the inn could not fully accommodate. It was referred to as "owner seems in-flexible" in the guest review. The stay in question was only 1 night with an early checkin of 12 noon requested and granted. The issue developed when,... More
