The HHH has the absolute best porch in the best prime location of Cape May. This large house is spotless and has several beautiful areas to relax other than your room. We spent 4 nights in the Rose room. It was nicely furnished, the bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries. The... More

This is the cleanest, friendliest bed and breakfast we have ever stayed at. It has great food and great hosts. Just short walk to everything Cape May is known for, beaches, dining and tours. Definitely a keeper!

This B and B is ideally situated less than half a block from the beach and very close to great shopping at the Washington Street Mall. It is immaculate and it is obvious the owners take deserved pride in the beautiful authentic design and woodwork. Our gourmet breakfasts were a treat. Although there isn't an afternoon tea, there is a... More

My wife surprised me with a trip to Cape May for my birthday. Aside from Cape May being one of my favorite vacation destinations, our stay at the Humphrey Hughes House was perfect. The hosts, Lorraine and Terry, along with their staff were warm, inviting and gracious. The room was beautiful, clean and nicely furnished. And having a delicious breakfast... More

Terry and Lorraine know how to run a fantastic B&B. We have been here several times, and can't wait to come back again. The breakfast is the BEST on earth. We always meet other couples there who share the same feelings.

We love the HHH. We have stayed in 3 rooms on 3 different trips and so far we have loved each room. The breakfasts are wonderful every day you are there. The only downside? You might go back home 10 pounds heavier. The hosts are friendly but not obtrusive. If you need Cape May info they are marvelous resources. There... More

We made a last minute decision to go to Cape May and had diffuculty booking a room anywhere. Luckily, they were willing to give us a room - the caveat was one night was in the Ocean view room and the next in the Dragon fly room! Moving was made easy for us so it was definitely not a deterent.... More

I'd stayed at two other B&Bs in Cape May before the Hughes House. Although each has their own charm and advantages, The Humphrey Hughes House was, by far, my favorite. They provide all of the "basics" that other B&Bs in Cape May do; but, the Hughes House stands apart for the small little touches that make their place and your... More

All of the rooms are classy and well-dressed victorian. You won't find boring white lace everywhere. There are great uses of colors and everything in the house is in good shape. There is always free cookies, fudge and port/sherry as you're hanging out either in your room or downstairs. The covered porch is the best at the beach and makes... More

This was our first time ever staying at a bed and breakfast and we really enjoyed our stay. When we arrived, we were welcomed and given a tour of the house and shown our room. We were in the blue room and loved it. Bathroom is on the small side but the bed was comfortable and you have a view... More
