We have stayed in many B & B's and the Fairthorne is absolutely one of our favorites! Diane and Ed were so welcoming and we felt very comfortable from the moment we arrived. The Inn is beautiful and staying in the Gabrielle was perfection! Grand and lovely this room is also very comfortable with a fabulous bath! Breakfasts were incredible... More

We just returned from a two night stay at the Fairthorne Cottage. It was our first experience at a bed-and-breakfast in Cape May. We had a wonderful time. Diane and Ed were gracious hosts and couldn't have been more helpful in giving us information about local history, places to see, and good restaurants in the area. We stayed in the... More

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon in December and had an amazing experience. We stayed in the Alexandra Suite, which has 2 fireplaces, a sleep number bed and a whirlpool tub. It was so cozy, very pretty and the entire B&B was immaculate. The breakfast each morning was delicious and they have hot/cold drinks & snacks out... More

As we look forward to celebrating another New Year at the Fairthorne, I realized that I never reviewed our stay last year. We stayed in the Alexandra Suite and as usual, it was perfection... spotlessly clean, comfortable beds with luxurious linens, and the little touches that make for a great stay. Ed and Diane are the quintessential B&B owners. They... More

Looks like this B&B rates very well for Cape May. The room was lovely and comprehensive, and added to the fun! We missed our payperview tv channels, but it was our anniversary after all! We were a block away from the main square for shopping and restaurants, so we walked everywhere, which was great since there were good meals at/away... More

Staying at the Fairthorne is an absolute must. My wife and I have been coming here for nine years . Ed and Diane are the perfect innkeepers and are sure to make your stay enjoyable and help with any info you need about restaurants or Cape May. We've stayed in all the rooms and all our comfortable clean and cozy... More

Gallactictraveler, well said! You took the words right out of my mouth. We too stayed in the Alexandria suite & even my husband, who is a 6'2 former linebacker, was not bothered by the low ceiling in one small area of the room. We agree that it only added to the charm of this sumptuous suite. After reading on the... More

The location is right in the center of beautiful Cape May. The friendliness and attention of Diane & Ed cannot be matched.Breakfasts are always a great experience.Diane has actually remembered a... When I accessed TripAdvisor to enter a review after yet another great time spent at The Fairthorne, I was shocked to read a recent review submitted by TravelJLF. While everyone is entitled to their opinions, I must respectfully disagree with them. We have stayed at many B and B's in various locales in the world and the Fairthorne is always... More

Im sorry to say we had very high hopes for this B&B and we were sooooooo very disappointed. I know the reviews are all pretty good and there are many long time standing customers here but we didn't have that same experience. We checked and Ed the owner showed us around downstairs. He didnt offer to help with our luggage... More

We're so sorry that you were disappointed in your stay with us. My husband Ed who checked you in is 73 years old but he would have carried your luggage if your husband indicated he couldn't. The carpet is not an old shag rug but what is now I believe called frieze. I am sure you were asked at check... More
