Eldredge house is conveniently located in Cape May, but not in the midst of all the hustle and bustle. Parking was not a problem. The house is charming (while not overdone with doillies) with an interesting history. Todd was a very gracious and helpful host. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year. We recommend... more

Our first visit to Cape May and we could not have picked a better B'n'B. Well located in West Cape May away from the noise of downtown revellers but a quick drive or easy bike ride to the beaches at Cape May Point, and enables you to skirt the traffic backup into downtown Cape May during the busy season. On... more

I couldn't possibly say more about the Eldredge House! It has the most welcoming, relaxing atmosphere... not a pebble left unturned in the detail department (bottled water, snacks, beach towels, beach chairs, L'Occitane products, etc). Uniquely enough, the innkeeper is so warm and friendly, always working to make you feel as though your comfort is the most important thing on... more

My stay at The Eldredge House was just perfect! Parking is plentiful. The location is just outside town and is a leisure walk to shopping and historic sites. Todd, the inn keeper, is such a delight. He is knowledgeable and will go above and beyond to make your stay in Cape May memorable. The breakfast vouchers are a great idea.... more

The Eldredge House was a perfect place for our first bed and breakfast experience. The oldest b&b in Cape May, it was beautifully decorated and very clean. We stayed in the Captain's Room, which was very spacious with its own private bath, loveseat, TV and DVD player, etc. We knew very little about the Cape May area when we arrived,... more

First of all, you will never meet a more gracious host than Todd, the innkeeper at the Eldredge House. Not only does he make himself always available for advice or help around town, he anticipates your needs and goes above and beyond expectation. The house itself was beautiful, clean, and well kept. There is always cold water in the fridge,... more

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Eldredge House for the first time recently. From the moment we arrived, Todd, the proprietor, was extremely gracious and helpful. He quickly gave us the best directions, the good places to eat and the things we might want to check out during our stay. If we needed anything, he was always available via... more

We've stayed at many B&Bs throughout the U.S., but our vacation at The Eldredge House in West Cape May, was one of our best experiences yet. Todd, the owner, is the epitome of what an innkeeper should be: warm, friendly, hospitable, eager to please, and a great ambassador for Cape May. The house dates to 1780, which is right up... more

Where to start?! Rooms like an embrace from the past (tons of touchable antiques!) with the perks of the present. Innkeeper of the first degree -- charming, funny, warm, brilliant, a wealth of tips and info. Complete privacy (innkeeper lives in separate section). Breakfast vouchers that let you choose when & where you eat -- yay, variety is the spice... more

I can't think of a better place to stay in Cape May, regardless of the time of year! The Eldredge House is cozy, quaint, beautifully-decorated, impeccably-clean, far enough away from the center of town to be quiet and relaxing at night, but close enough to be within walking distance (5-10 minutes) of everything worth seeing, from the beach, to the... more
