If you like "Philly's finest" and their kids running all over and screaming, paper thin walls, mediocre food and drinks at the "Rusty Nail" and a Jimmy Buffet wannabe lounge singer, you'll love the place. I miss Congress Hall and The Virginia Hotel...one and done stay. Never again.

Some of the negative reviews are a little harsh. The hotel is not a dump. We stayed here back when the hotel was named the Coachman's Motor Inn as well as the Beach Shack. This place was weeks from being torn down and replaced with a super fancy time share resort, before the economy tanked in 2008/9. I think the group who owns it is just waiting for real estate to stabilize a little more before the Beach Shack is gone.
