The Bacchus Inn was great as usual. John is the best innkeeper in Cape May! Flowers were delivered to the inn before our arrival and he was thoughtful enough to unpack and arrange them for my wife. What a nice surprise. The room and breakfast were perfect. We always get our wine education during the afternoon social hour and John... More

After reading all the reviews about the Bacchus Inn I can see why all of them mentioned the host John. He was the most informative and knowledgeable host we had ever met. Great discussions at breakfast, information about the area and he knows everyone! The Bacchus Inn lives up to its reviews. The rooms were great, beds comfortable, breakfast delicious... More

This recent visit was our third I think. Again, John was perfection as a host. He remembered that I have a small appetite and didn't overload my breakfast plate. He graciously offered friends who were visiting with us a glass of wine. The best was that he went the extra mile with fedex to get a garment bag that we'd... More

We needed a one-night accommodation in Cape May and selected The Bacchus Inn based largely on Tripadvisor reviews--which we found were accurate. Our 3d floor room was beautiful, with a small porch attached. John, our host, obviously works out regularly and put his ample muscles to work carrying our bags for us--a blessing for older travelers, and a service often... More

I felt I must also write a review of our recent stay given that we felt the breakfast was a major shortcoming unlike what is said in elsewhere here. We have stayed in several other B&B's in Cape May, and many around the world. This one only offers fixed seatings: one at 8.30a and I think the other at 9.30a... More

We thank you for trying The Bacchus Inn. We appreciate input and aspire to provide a great vacation experience. We are sorry our breakfast did not meet these guests expectation. We offer a menu the evening before so guests know what will be offered for our sit-down breakfast seating. The menu offers a checkbox for each breakfast option. The menu... More

A beautiful early fall weekend in Cape May at the Bacchus Inn. It was a treat to run into some other regulars, too. That's happening more and more often. Not surprising as the Bacchus has so much to offer - Victorian charm, great location, delicious breakfasts and the one and only John who keeps things lively and running like clock... More

Great place to stay in Cape May. John is a very hospitable owner. Snacks and wine offered during the late afternoon, and the breakfast is delicious (Banana Foster French Toast). Old Victorian Charm with well decorated rooms. Would highly recommend John's Bacchus Inn for your next visit to Cape May. Within a short walk to the beach and shopping, as... More

My husband and I took a few days off and stayed at The Bacchus Inn. It was clean, adorable, great location and loved the owner. Breakfasts were great and so was the 4:00pm wine and tea. Would highly recommend!

We had another exceptional visit to the Bacchus Inn this summer, accompanied with wonderful weather, friendly & interesting fellow guests, and, of course, owner/innkeeper par-excellence, John, who made sure that everyone was enjoying themselves and was well taken care of. We stayed in the smaller cottage, across Columbia Ave from the main inn, as is our tradition. We do not... More

We came for the first time and plan to return. The host, John, really enjoys making people feel welcome. According to people who are "regulars" for insurance reasons the "happy hour" has been downsized to a glass of wine or sangria, but its still a good excuse to sit on the porch and socialize. Most of the people here were... More
