This is our 13th year staying at the Bacchus Inn. We keep coming back because of the warm welcome, quaint accommodations, great breakfasts, and engaging inn-keeper. John M. has intimate knowledge of the Cape May scene, from the restaurants to things to do. The afternoon wine and cheese on the porch is a highlight of the day. Rooms in both... More

This was me and my boyfriend's second stay at The Bacchus Inn. We loved it SO MUCH the first time just this past July 4th, that we could not wait to return for our August vacation. As a matter of fact we even brought his sister and boyfriend who came from Italy! Anyway, John [The Innkeeper/Owner and all around amazing... More

Just returned from a few days at the Bacchus and concur enthusiastically with what was written by other contributors. It is truly an accomplishment to have all 5 Star reviews. After all, if people are happy, they might actually write about their experiences. If, on the other hand, they're pissed, you can pretty much count on it. I really can't... More

What an absolute gem of a place, the Bacchus was just so lovely - the setting, the rooms and the friendly welcoming feel of the place. My friend and I had only two nights and wish we had longer, just a short stroll from the beautiful beach and the centre of town or if you fancy, an even shorter bike... More

Another amazing visit back to the Bacchus Inn. The house is a true beauty, and is meticulously cared for by Inn Keeper, John, who keeps the lively conversations going, or just enjoy a quiet reading area too. Every room is beautiful, so even the smaller rooms are gorgeous, each one has something special. We do stay in one of the... More

We booked The Bacchus Inn based on it's location and it's reviews. We were not disappointed. The breakfast was great and the afternoon wine & cheese, tea & coffee was a nice late day treat. Our room was well appointed, the bed was very comfortable, and the location of the inn made it conveniently located to everything, yet very quiet... More

Another super enjoyable stay, (our 3rd), at the Bacchus Inn! John, the innkeeper, is truly superb at what he does, (obviously enjoying it also), making your stay as wonderful as possible while showing a true interest in each guest. He is full of great Cape May knowledge of restaurants, history, shopping, things to do, etc. Each time back is like... More

Nice, clean room. Excellent location. You will not find a better host or inn owner like John anywhere. He is witty, knowledgable, and always willingly answer questions about restaurants but pushes none. And by the way, his breakfasts are great.

My husband and I have been going to the Bacchus Inn for four years. The prices are great, rooms are wonderful, and breakfasts are always exciting! The location is very close to the beach, but tucked away on a nice, quiet street. We enjoy the 4pm wine and cheese after a hot day on the beach, and love using the... More

This was our first time visiting Cape May and I'm so happy we chose to stay at the Bacchus Inn. Like most reviewers, it's the owner, John that makes this B&B top notch. We stayed in the cottage, room #12 (Champagne Room) and it was perfect. I loved the little sitting room with the day bed. The B&B provided beach... More
