My husband and I spent Easter weekend at the Star Inn and were completely charmed. We loved the decor and the setup of the room (we were in the main part of the Inn, room 3 on the second floor) and had a gorgeous view of the ocean. The amenities were extremely convenient with a huge comfortable king-sized bed, flat... More

I was looking forward to a nice birthday getaway at the Star. I was surprised to see nothing had been updated and it appeared tired and old. We went out for breakfast and shopping after our first night and returned around 2:00 only to find our room had not been touched. Someone showed up to remove dirty towels and another... More

Good morning I have been busy with kids and work and didn't get a chance to contact or post a review. I had a horrible experience at your hotel for the first time. February 27th was my fiancé birthday. She has been planing to go to cape may and relax for months now. We have 2 young children and don't... More

Dear Houckbrewery, Thank you for taking the time in person, to speak to our General Manager, Sam Ackrill, regarding your recent experience at The Star Inn and Efficiencies. The quality of your experience was less than satisfactory and is not a reflection of the product we strive to produce. We apologize for your disappointing experience and look forward to welcoming... We stayed at The Star in the summer of 2013 and had a great time and enjoyed the great service and updated rooms. We experienced nothing less this time again, as we visited Cape May for a family wedding. Thanks for another great stay!

check in- I booked online. When I arrived I was told in addition to the room they put a hold on my account for $125 security and $30 for keys. First time hearing this but ok. Get to the room (#22 suite efficiency)it's clean, nice, spacious. Later we realized the bed was so uncomfortable. For some reason the entire bed... More

We have stayed in many different places in cape may,but none as disappointing as this one,the room was small and drafty, the Windows wouldn't even close all the way, they had tape over them, the bathroom was even worse, by time we figured out how to use the heater, it was time to check out, then, they had the nerve to charge... Winter in Cape May is cold, but since I am at the ocean, it's great. The Star Inn has a great location, just block to the beach and close to the Bue Pig Restaurant. We had a third floor room with a view of the ocean. It felt like we were in an attic room as the ceiling was not... More

We stayed here on a Monday night in February and it was quite nice. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing. Bathroom was completely updated but it still had it's quaint charm. Was also walking distance to great restaurants and Pubs.

I stayed at The Star in an absolutely charming and well-appointed efficiency on Super Bowl Sunday. The first floor efficiency consisted of a kitchen/living room area (with large sleeper sofa, breakfast bar & TV/DVD player), bathroom, private bedroom (with TV/DVD player), and a private patio with picnic table. The kitchen was fully equipped with all utensils, dishes, toaster, stove top,... More

We stayed here on a cold winter weekend. Maybe that's why we really appreciated the large, soft, comfy bed comforter! It made all the difference in the world between shivering and feeling like we were ready for winter. The room was small, but the space was utilized well and we had everything we needed. The only negative is that there... More
