We stayed here on a cold winter weekend. Maybe that's why we really appreciated the large, soft, comfy bed comforter! It made all the difference in the world between shivering and feeling like we were ready for winter. The room was small, but the space was utilized well and we had everything we needed. The only negative is that there... More

The Star is just across the street from Congress Hall, so you have the convenience of all of their amenities (restaurants, spa, etc.), but with a more mod decor. We stayed in one of the efficiency-style rooms which has a nice little kitchenette/living area separate from the bedroom. The staff were all very friendly, and the location is fabulous (literally... We stayed here recently over a short pre-New Year's get away. Now I so want to come back now during the summer. From the second we walked in, I loved our efficiency room with kitchenette and little backyard with picnic table. The Star is close to the beach, town, and its sister property, Congress Hall. Loved the decor, the bed... More

We headed down to Cape May from Pennsylvania on the 14th of December. A reservation had been confirmed for the lower level at the Star Inn which is where we usually stay since we enjoy the lovely little garden that comes with the apartment. At reception at the Congress Hall we asked about the Carriage House on the 3rd floor... More

Firstly, this is 3rd Cape Resorts property I have stayed in and I will never stay with any other company while in Cape May. I stayed Congress Hall last winter and the Beach Shack this summer. All Cape Resorts properties are conveniently located, have great amenities and top notch service. This time around, my boyfriend and I stayed at the... More

We rented the 2nd floor suite of The Starr Carriage House (rm #30). The suite itself is a lovely little 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment, nicely decorated and clean. It has a nice balcony with a partial view of the ocean. Only a half block from the ocean and across the street from Congress Hall so it's a great location.... More

One would imagine a boarding house to be like that. Grossly overpriced but given the location....let's say it is ok;-) Parking right in front. That you have to go and collect your key from the concierge at the Congress Hall is little drawback if you are there for only one night.

I was pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor. I was here for a business conference that was taking place at Congress Hall. The rooms at Congress were sold out. I went with the Star because it was close to Congress and the price was good. What I didn't expect was a beautifully decorated room, a nice size... More

My wife and I recently stayed at The Star and loved our experience. The location was awesome and we were afforded the amenities of Congress Hall (which is always nice). Our room was clean and spacious but could use a little updating. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I would recommend The Star for either a couples get away or... More

Arrived at 1:00 pm - place looked deserted. I knocked on door that read "Private" - someone popped her head out - Check in is across the street at The Congress Hall Hotel. At The Congress Hall Hotel, I am told my room at The Star is "unique". Yep. Rm #8 with bath outside room! Eventually settled on Room #2... More
