We stayed in the 'house' of the Star Inn, not an apartment. The room, though cozy, was all the space we really needed and our basic needs were more than covered. Not sure why someone had a problem with the bedding in a previous post, but we were impressed with the bedding and linens, as they are very similar to... more

We are long-time Cape May vacationers.....have been coming to the Jersey Shore every year since 1994. We have stayed in many places in Cape May County, but Congress Hall and The Star Inn are by far at the top of the "heap". We watched the restoration of Congress Hall in the early-mid 2000's, and what a wonderful thing it turned... more

We stayed at the Star in October for 2 nights (without our kids - yeah!). It was so great. We have stayed in various B&B's over the years and other hotels but this little motel was the BEST! It was a perfect room for 2 - enough space to spread out and just enough to get cozy together. Fully equipped... more

In 2005, my wife and I stayed at the Congress Hall Hotel in Cape May for two nights including Christmas Eve and had a great time. The hotel, staff, and restaurant (The Blue Pig) were absolutely wonderful. However, we noticed that they had purchased the little motel across the street. Since we couldn't quite afford one of the larger rooms... more

We just came back from a four day, three night stay at the Star Inn. This has been our tenth year at Cape May but our first staying at this resort. I can only say that we already have made our reservations for next year because we enjoyed the resort so much this year. We are a group of four... more

My husband and I just got back from 3 glorious nights at Cape May (August 10-12, 2007). We have an incredible time and can’t wait to return. I will break this review down in parts for easy reading. HOTEL We arrived at the Star Inn around 2pm. Would have been there sooner if it weren’t for the torrential rains on... more

I am writing this from the kitchen of apartment 30. It's 7 AM and I can't sleep because the guests above us are walking around and as a result our ceiling is squeaking so loudly it wakes us up! It's ashame because the experience otherwise has been perfect. The apartment is great, the service just like at Congress Hall where... more

We stayed in one of the Carriage Suites while in Cape May for a MAC event. The location of the property was great and the set-up was very nice. The suite was clean and well kept. There were two main issues that were a problem. First, I called the property (it is part of Congress Hall) directly and specifically asked... more

I enjoyed our stay at the Star Inn. The location is the best. It's very convenient to everything. We had an Ocean side room with a great view. It was small, but it's plenty of room for two people. The maid service was terrific. We always had plenty of towels and whatever we needed and our room was always clean. The... more
