What a wonderful place! We stayed at the Henry Sawyer Inn for two days! A lovely B&B whose pictures do not do it justice . Our room, the Abigail Hughes Johnson, was roomy, bright and airy. The five windows light up the room, and when opened we heard the delightful clip-clop of the carriages touring Columbia Avenue. This greatly enhanced... More

Our B&B stay at the Henry Sawyer Inn was just a quick overnight but really quite delightful. This house is located on Columbia Avenue, which I might term 'B&B Row' as there are many along this road. It's a short walk to the beaches on one direction and to the Washington Street Mall in the other. We stayed in the... More

A lovely, historic,Victorian Bed and Breakfast, restored with attention to detail... great service, delicious breakfasts and afternoon tea, and right near the beach and shopping! What more can you ask for? Plus Cape May has so much to offer - Victorian weekends, murder mysteries, tours of the homes and B&B's. We will come back again and again.

I usually research where we stay quite a bit, but we had a last minute idea for a holiday weekend. I emailed several bed and breakfasts to see if anyone had one night available and the Henry Sawyer Inn replied! It was not just an ordinary B&B but we were surprised by the excellent service and delicious snacks all day... More

A terrific time, as usual, in Cape May. Barbara and Frank prepared delicious breakfasts. The room is clean and comfortable Great to sip wine on the porch with other guests. Cape May is the perfect place to relax or to keep super busy. Bicycle ride early in the morning before the streets get too crowded. Try the many wineries. Terrific... More

I was planning on going to Cape may for the weekend with my fiance looking for an escape from the real world. I only wanted to stay 2 nights but most places had a 3 night mandatory stay. I came across the henry sawer inn and found its prices to be decent and it's location only a few blocks from... More

My boyfriend and I recently stated at the Henry Sawyer Inn for the weekend and it was absolutely beautiful! The B & B is so clean and so well taken care of! The innkeeper, Barbara, is very accommodating and helpful...and the breakfast is delicious and leisurely! We stayed in the Jane Hughes Johnson Suite which was very large and "roomy".... More

This small B&B captures the very best of Cape May. It is lovely, only 5 guest suites, and that is one of the best features. It has the feel of a home, immaculate, tastefully furnished, but very comfortable and welcoming. The sense of pride and quiet unobtrusive hospitality that the owner, Barbara, takes is felt from the moment she introduces... More

Right in the heart of the Cape May historic district, this five room inn is a real gem. The Innkeeper, Barbara is a charming, caring woman who really knows what she is doing. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and spotless. The décor is charming Victorian. The public rooms are stocked with excellent reading materials about the area and Victorian era... More

Celebrating my sister’s 60th birthday getaway. Having contacted at least 25 Inns, Barbara, was the Innkeeper at the Henry Sawyer was the only one who would consider my request to reserve 2 rooms for one night. Our rooms were fabulous and easily accommodated all 5 sisters. The Inn was decorated in period furniture with modern touches. Breakfast was also above... More
