The Inn was cozy, elegant, funky and fun. A very clean, well run, antique building. Our room had a view to the beach, big old fashined sash windows with flowing curtains, and the sound of the surf nearby. It was fun to meet other guests on the stairs, on the porch chairs and in the Altheathea's Restaurant on the ground... More

If you like big, old, airy, creaky-floored hotels that are just off the beach and host a lobby and front porch with lots of charm then you'll enjoy The Inn of Cape May. There is a nice, on-site restaurant that offers a good breakfast. Our suite on the top floor was a bit dated, but provided plenty of space and... More

I have to admit, I was leery about our weeklong vacation at the Inn after reading some of the reviews here -- but I am so glad we stuck to our guns and stayed there. What's important to know is what the Inn is NOT.... it's not a modern hotel chock full of amenities, it's not a 5-star resort. It... More

We rented three rooms for our family of 6 and had a lovely night at the shore. The rooms were a lil old fashioned Haha. What we expected. The porch is lovely and the rest of the Inn is delightfully old and has the old fashioned beach feel. Breakfast was good. This is not luxury accommodations, but it is exactly... More

This was our first time staying at the Inn and we loved it! The room set up was perfect for 2 parents and a child with a shared bathroom yet 2 separate rooms. A pool on site and the beach right across the street was perfect. Loved the porch with all the rocking chairs! Great restaurant too. I had a... More

Thanks a million to the staff at the Inn of Cape May for a wonderful stay at this charming Bed and Breakfast. A special 'shout-out' to Tom and Ambrose, who as soon as we called for a lift in the elevator, immediately came and helped my 86 year old mother up to the fourth floor, and also with any other... I was really looking forward to going to this inn. We were happy that it was across the street from the beach and that it had a pool. After we unpacked, we went to the pool. The ladies at the front desk offered us tiny horrible towels to use at the pool. Why? All the beach towels that they used... More

I was sold on the inn because of its sprawling, white building with plenty of white rockers and wicker chairs on the wrap around porches. It has a terrific ocean front location, one of the very best, I'd say. There's a street running between it and the beach, how all 'oceanfront' hotels are in the main district. It's the oldest... I loved the outside of the hotel and the lobby and the restaurant etc. The rooms however were not so good. Very old, not old antique but just old. Very disappointing. Also, smell of mildew but that's probably just because its across the street from the ocean.

As a long time guest of the Inn, it is absolutely wonderful! I read so many of the reviews and just don't understand that people feel that a location that was built 100+ years ago needs to be modern... it is an old victorian destination place. The lobby has been renovated, making it appear bright and fresh. The best thing... More
