We recently got married at the Hotel Macomber. I was at first disappointed when it rained on my wedding day since my plan was to have a beach ceremony. However, the wonderful managers at the Hotel Macomber made it a beautiful indoor experience. The ceremony was lovely in their Victorian lobby with an arbor to stand under and a rose... more

We visited this hotel for a fall get away. First we chose the Ghost tour package. I explained that we had other plans and we wanted to do the tour Friday night. Then we wanted dinner (part of the package $70 credit) on Saturday night. I also mentioned being off season could we get a nice room. To all questions,... more

I have to say that these were the rudest people I have ever dealt with in Cape May. When I did the online reservations, it allows you to pick your exact room out by number. I specifically choose two lower level standard rooms. One room was listed as having a large shower and the other room had a private bath... more

I've stayed there several times, and it is always easy. The staff is pleasant, rooms are clean, and the atmosphere is warm. It's at the far end of the boardwalk, but it's easy to walk around in Cape May. The rates are good, but you won't get a pool or elevator--but it does have an old fashioned charm. There is... more

I stayed here over the weekend for a small wedding that was held at the hotel. From check-in until check-out, the proprietors made us feel like an unwelcome intrusion. No matter how many times it was brought to their attention, the room temperature throughout the building was completely unregulated -- some rooms were sweltering and others were iceboxes. When my... more

We enjoyed our stay at the conveniently located Hotel Macomber. I loved the big front porch with comfortable rockers. The staff was helpful and friendly with the exception of one desk clerk who seemed to get defensive when I mentioned the rainly weather not being good for a vacation. I didn't expect her to fix it! The room was large... more

This is our 2nd visit to the Hotel Macomber and for the money it is a great deal. Our room had two double beds and plenty of places for your clothes. Probably our only complaint is that the lighting in the room was not bright enough to read by. Yes, there are steps, but they help you work off the... more

My girlfriend and I have stayed at the Hotel Macomber several times since the early ninties. At that time we were about 35 years old. The Hotel at that time was charming and cozy to us. Priced right too. However, over the last 15 years, not much has been done to improve or update this establishment. The entire building needs... more

I was a recent guest at the Macomber. The small room was clean. There was one space for handicapped parking which was very accommodating for me. As a senior citizen, I found it very difficult to climb 44 steps (including ones to get into the hotel) to get to my room each time. This practically spoiled my entire stay. There... more
