This is an older hotel that has been maintained well. The location is great, the staff helpful, and has the charm of old Cape May. Our room was clean, and we loved the rocking chairs on the porch. There is a breakfast shop under the hotel, bicycle rental on the side street, mini golf and arcade nearby and a fine... More

My husband and I stayed here for our 25th wedding anniversary last week. We checked in late, the female check-in night staff was not very friendly to us, barely even grunted 'hello' as she checked us in. No friendly hello. We should have known this was a sign of things to come. The bed was not comfortable, there was no... More

Room is small, beds are cheap and uncomfortable, receptionist is rude, hardly any water pressure in the shower, wifi is slow, hotel is drab and needs a make over and staff are rude, I could hear the couple next door talking because the walls are paper thin. Do not stay if you have standards!

Beautiful house, beautiful location, amazing staff, and a charming experience altogether. This hotel was an absolute delight to visit, and there is a restaurant IN THE HOTEL that is famous throughout Southern New Jersey. All was great, minus one important detail - the Bed. My girlfriend and I stayed for a romantic weekend together over Memorial Day Weekend and by... More

I love it. It is a beautiful old hotel that is conviently located. The front desk personnel are warm and friendly. I have stayed here twice and plan to stay there whenever I stay in Cape May. Anyone who wants the ultimate Cape May experience should consider staying in this reasonably priced hotel

Had a great time. Our room was romantic and clean. Staff was friendly and the price was wonderful. Didn't have any paranormal experience but that's a great reason to go back for another spooky romantic weekend get away. Loved the beach which was a stones throw away and was great for a little risky behavior!

Actually stayed in October 2010 and October 2012. Allowable dates don't go back that far. Location is prime and I think that's what you're paying for. Staff is friendly and courteous. Other patrons can be a little less than friendly is what we found. Our last stay was in their Captain's Mey room. This has a semi private porch. We... More

The Macomber is exactly what it advertises itself to be....an historic hotel. We have stayed here for the Christmas weekend for 6 plus years now and have never been dissapointed. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the porch view exceptional! Updating as suggested by others has been done even though we felt little bottles of shampoo were unnecessary. We... More

Second time staying at this hotel in October for a mother /daughters weekend. Very nice accommodation. Rooms very clean, personnel pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed having our coffee and breakfast snacks in the sun room. Location wonderful - can walk to almost every point of interest.

I can't wait to stay at the Hotel Macomber again. It is in a great location, quiet but close to restaurants and shopping or walking on the beach. We stayed in the Cornelius room 19 and it had both sunrise and sunset views. Also great porch for early morning coffee or late night chilling. Very friendly staff and very clean... More
