My husband & I and daughter, son in law and 2 year old grandson stayed here for 5 days to attend my nieces Wedding being held at the Alcott. Louise the desk clerk was welcoming and most pleasant upon arrival. She went out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable. Our cleaning woman, Senna, was courteous, attentive... more

We stayed here for 2 nights, and had a mini suite w/a mini kitchen & balcony, which looked out over the beach. The location was good, and the hotel was nicely kept up. Free buffet breakfast was a nice touch - beats the morning hunt for a breakfast spot. Food was good, service very nice. Had a minor issue with... more

Upon arriving at the hotel we had checking in (front desk woman was fairly rude), and spent the night just relaxing on our balcony. In the morning we all went down to the Victorian Gardens Restaurant and were met by wonderful staff. We noticed the omelet station and decided to give it a try. WOW, we were almost taken aback... more

Thanks for another wonderful vacation! I'm a repeat customer who can't wait to go back. Though the rooms are average, I find the staff to be friendly and informative. We had a problem with the room which was fixed immediately. They even gave us a discount! The breakfast is unbelievable with any type of food you could ever want. The... more

After adding a King Shepherd to our family, we knew our vacations options would be limited for the time-being. This summer, as he turned 6 months and 85 pounds, I began a search for a spot I could drive to from NYC and that was pet-friendly. "Googling" pet-friendly hotels, I came upon this one. It was certainly the nicest looking... more

The staff and management want to thank this reviewer for taking the time to write his perceptions of our establishment and employees. These are the kinds of comments we so often hear from our customers on a daily basis - verbally and in our Guest Opinion Surveys. Our property is clean, the rates are reasonable for our location and the...

While this was my first stay in Cape May, I expected much more of this hotel & my stay there. We were "greeted" (I use that term because it wasn't a friendly one) @ the frt desk & was told I would be called when the room was ready. 2 hours later we got the call & when asked (why I... more

A good number of our customers like to arrive in town early to make the most of their vacation. We welcome our guests to check with the front desk upon arrival and ask for a cell phone so we can call when the room is ready. Meanwhile, guests can park their car, use the pool, have a drink at the...

Overpriced and they nickel and dime you. Deposit for TV Movies, Pets, extra person charges, The staff is not friendly - curt and brusque. The rooms are small relative to what it would seem through photos and description. The fitness center consists of 1 treadmill, 1 stairmaster and 1 weight machine. They occassionally block off parking spots with no reason... more

Wow! Just got off the phone trying to speak to a manager to request a guaranteed floor in return for a suite at top dollar three weeks from now at $329 a night, first with Sue (the rude, incompetent booking agent who when I said I was told told two days ago that only Louise the manager can guarantee a... more

Look, this, in some respects, is a "teflon" hotel. It's in a fabulous Cape May location, the rooms face the beach (we watched the 4th of July fireworks from our balcony), and breakfast, which is hearty and substantial, is included in the bill. There's even a small fitness room with a treadmill and an elliptical. Here are the downsides: we... more

We do have a beautiful property in a prime location. It is centrally located on the beach front. Since our last major renovation we have strived to add new amenities whenever we can. There is nothing hidden or misrepresented about the size of the rooms. Floor plans and photos are posted on the web site for all to scrutinize. By...

Good location, good front desk. Nice view, though blackout curtain on balcony door could not be moved aside. No wireless internet in rooms. No available wall sockets to plug computer in. Turns out that their restaurant was closed for the month, so no coffee, no breakfast. more
