Returning to Windward House each summer is as relaxing as the sound of the ocean during a beach stroll. The location is perfect - just a half block from the beach. All rooms are beautifully maintained and comfortable. We are always warmly greeted by Sandy Miller, the owner, or a staff member and immediately made to feel at home. It... More

We start each summer off with a stay at Windward House. The property checks all the boxes for cleanliness, great food and central location, but it's the people that draw us back year after year. For owner Sandy Miller and her staff the extraordinary is ordinary. Ask, and if there is any way they can do something for you, they... More

My husband & I have celebrated our 25th & 35th Wedding Anniversaries at The Windward House & countless ones in between. Aside from it being in the best location possible, that's not why we go there. We go because the house is Beautiful, the rooms are Immaculate & the breakfasts are Delicious. We always stay a full week when we... More

We stayed at the Windward House last summer and are definitely going back this year as we had such a terrific stay last year. Our host, Sandy Miller, was very welcoming and the Inn was beautiful. It was so clean beautifully decorated, the breakfasts were wonderful and it was so nice to have breakfast on the porch. The room was... More

I am just now reserving for about my 30th year in a row at the Windward House. My extended family stayed for a week last August and will again this coming August. We love the big, comfortable, beautifully decorated rooms, the convivial porches and the fantastic location. We gather for a delicious breakfast, walk the 1/2 block to the beach... More

My wife and I stayed at the Windward house for the first time. It was my first B&B. The room we picked was large, clean, private bathroom w/ claw foot tub. We had a great view of Jackson street with a large deck we shared with another room. People in town say the Windward house is haunted. Although we didn't... More

You could not ask for a better location than the Windward House, nor a better hostess than Sandy .Their winnning combination just enhances the enjoyment and unique treasure that is Cape May. We have been staying there for years (decades) and the thought has never crossed our minds to stay anywhere else. A long time visitor or a first timer... More

We stayed at this gorgeous B&B.first time. I mouth dropped seeing the beautifully decorated entrance way, parlor and mini-parlor! It was like stepping back into the late 1890's. The furnishings looked like was borrowed from a museum! The little fine touches like a plume, old straw hats, piano books (& piano), the lamps, stained glass windows, the gorgeous setting for... Cape May is filled with Bed and Breakfast houses. We ended up at the Windward House. The location was great, but the decor was a bit creepy. Benefits: Nice roof deck to watch the sunsets and tasty breakfast in the morning. Negatives: Mannequins everywhere. Also, the parking is about a 15-20 minute walk away. No assistance with baggage up all... More

The Windward House was built in 1905. Beautiful home with victorian charm. My husband, daughter and I stayed in the Wicker Room. Charming room up on the third floor. Not a good location for older people to get to. Very steep and narrow stairway. The connecting room had a day bed. The bathroom was next to that. I would rate... More
