Cape May is filled with Bed and Breakfast houses. We ended up at the Windward House. The location was great, but the decor was a bit creepy. Benefits: Nice roof deck to watch the sunsets and tasty breakfast in the morning. Negatives: Mannequins everywhere. Also, the parking is about a 15-20 minute walk away. No assistance with baggage up all... More

The Windward House was built in 1905. Beautiful home with victorian charm. My husband, daughter and I stayed in the Wicker Room. Charming room up on the third floor. Not a good location for older people to get to. Very steep and narrow stairway. The connecting room had a day bed. The bathroom was next to that. I would rate... More

Windward house in Jackson St., Cape May is really comfortable and in the center of all the action around Cape May. If you love beautiful old style furniture, this is the house to stay at. The bed in our room was so comfortable and we had good sleep due to the quietness and bed quality. We had a different cooked... More

My brother's fiancée was looking for a relaxing getaway for her bachelorette party and that's what we got at the windward house. You couldn't beat the location- just a few minutes walking from the beach and promenade! The wicker room was cozy & plenty big for the 3 of us. The 3rd floor balcony has ocean views. Breakfast was good... More

Been going there for the past 20 years! Absolutely love it! Sandy and the crew feel like an extended family. The house and rooms are beautiful and the breakfast is delicious. 100% can't miss great time. Can't wait to go back!

We spent last weekend at this glorious Victorian Inn. We were part of a family reunion that we periodically have in Cape May. We wouldn't dream of going any place but the Windward House. It's such a comfortable Inn - full of fabulous Victorian furnishings in every nook and cranny. The Innkeeper, Sandy Miller, is as sweet as the delicacies... More

What a beautiful inn! I have been vacationing in Cape May for over 60 years and The Windward House is my favorite place to stay. It is conveniently located one block from the beach and one block from shopping on Washington St. This 1905 Victorian inn welcomes you with it's beautiful front porch where you can relax in cushioned chairs... The Jersey shore is a special place for anyone who grew up in NJ and Cape May is our most favorite spot on the Jersey shore. For the past ten years we've been staying at The Windward House at 24 Jackson Street. We love the location--one block to the beach, one block to Washington Street Mall and close to our... More

I almost hate to write this review because I don't want to have to complete with more people when reserving a room at the Windward House. I love everything about the area and staying here. The rooms are all unique and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect. You never have to get into your car. Everything you need, to include... More

We have been going to Cape May for the last 25 years. We have tried so many B&B's in the past, but once we stayed at the Windward House, it is the only place we will stay and have been doing so for the last 20 years. Sandy and Owen are warm and friendly and excellent hosts. They will go... More
