The first time I went to the Windward House was with my husband - 18 years ago - when it was one of the few B&Bs open in January. A few years later, I was planning a girls weekend with some friends and I suggested the Windward House. We loved it! We love the roof top deck and the front... more

The ambiance and historical perspective of Cape May can easily be summed up in 2 words, WINDWARD HOUSE. The Windward House is the epitome of a relaxed vacation at an "Edwardian Seaside Inn" in the center of "the Nation's Oldest Seaside Resort". This year, 2009, marks the 400th anniversary of the discovery of Cape May. It is an unique destination... more

We've visited Cape May many times and have stayed at many bed and breakfasts in the city. Once we found the beautiful Windward House, we have stayed nowhere else! We love the convenient location- perfectly situated 1/2 block from the beach and 1/2 block from the Washington Street Mall- and, close to Cape May's finest restaurants. It's perfect! more

Had a great time at the Windward House again this year. I have been visiting Cape May every summer with my sisters and now my mom for over 20 years and have never stayed anywhere else but the Windward House. Sandy, Owen and the girls are always warm and welcoming and make us feel right at home. I have stayed... more

I cannot imagine a better Bed and Breakfast experience than the one we had at the Windward House a few weeks ago! The block it is on is rich with large old B+Bs and fine restaurants.....and it's only about 5 houses from the beach. It's also only one block from the Washington Street Mall which has some quite unique and... more

For the past 6 consecutive years, The Windward House Inn has been our home away from home. This beautifully adorned Victorian Bed and Breakfast, situated in the very heart of Cape May, has been for us a true haven from the outside hustle and bustle of everyday hectic life. Vacationing every year with me and my 2 sisters has been... more

My husband and I stayed there for a few days in the end of August as a anniversary gift to each other. First of all - Jackson Street is the most BEAUTIFUL street in Cape May. It's a 2 min walk to the gorgeous beach and a 2 min walk to the outdoor mall. The house is completely charming. Great... more

We highly recommend the Windward House! We were so lucky to find this special place, and special lady, Sandy. From the moment you step into the door, you feel at home, and most welcome. The house itself is a treasure trove of collections, each with a tantalizing story! The location is the best in Cape May! Sitting on the porch,... more

My boyfriend, Rob & I enjoyed a beautiful weekend here at Windward House in Cape May, NJ. He surprised me with this romantic weekend away. We were greeted by the owner, Sandy who was so nice, accomodating and informative of the history, sights and legends of Cape May. The Inn was conveniently located between the immaculate beach and the quaint... more
